I have a z flip 3 and I work in basement waterproofing, I had to navigate at a dirt trench and climb over concrete and clock in using this phone. It still works good as new. We usually have to work with mortar, sand and dirt and I can tell you that this phone survived it. I even accidentally hit the phone while it was in my pocket with the handle end of a shovel and its still fine. People especially on the internet will complain and lie about issues with products they dislike in order to keep people from buying them. Why? Some people like making brands look bad in order to make their favorite brand look good.

I doubt it's particles, it's heat. I'm more inclined to believe phones are folded (highest stress) and being charged over night. Phones are also designed to release heat through the screen (not happening while folded). Thin glass, high stress, high heat, and less heat dissipation.

Like yeah flipping it was cool and all but after that it didn’t really do anything else. Poor battery life was a big deal breaker, then the worsening screen quality was the final nail in the coffin

This happened to my phone, I opened it one morning and the screen cracked right down the middle. According to a Samsung Certified Repair Store, a knick on the hinge was considered physical damage that therefore voided the warranty. I faced either a $450 screen repair fee or $250 for the company my phone was insured under to issue an S21+ replacement device.

Yeezus samsung wiggling their way out. I had another viewer with an issue on the outer screen but samsung took care of that. It also seems like there are motion detectors inside the device that track if the phone has ever been thrown 1.5 meters or more (I believe read an article about this) - honestly might as well go for s21 - that Crack is just going to get worse.

I've had my Z Flip 3 since launch. Average 85 unlocks a day and no sign of cracking yet. My Z Fold 3 is coming in today. It'll be my daily driver for the future so we will see if I get the issues.

i bought a z flip 3 used less then a month ago. after about two weeks, i noticed an air bubble forming under the screen, looked it up and apparently its an issue with the screen protector, so i try to see if i can take the screen protector off, but it turns out there isnt one. it was removed before i got it. so i just live with the airbubble until it just, shatters while im at work. the cracks spread for another two weeks and then finally, the digitizer entirely stops working. so i physically cannot use the phone anymore. I spent 300 bucks on a phone just for it to break in three weeks and cost 400 dollars to fix.

Actually our Z Flip 3 had a defect behind the screen where a screw was not tightened down on the hinge which put a slight raised bump in the lower half of the screen near the hinge this caused the screen protector to bubble on the side with the raised bump which caused the bubbling at the hinge to slowly move across the hinged area. I sent the phone in and Samsung sent it back saying everything was good and no screen protector on screen now. I called back in and told them the issue was still there behind the screen so sent it in again and they replaced the screen and tried to charge me $499 which i talked down to $135 honestly i shouldnt have had to pay anything as the defect was from day 1. I've seen others with the same phone that did not have this defect. My Fold 3 didnt have this defect either. I recieved it back the 2nd time and they reinstalled the screen protector and stated they replaced the screen but the original defect that caused this issue is still there and i am positive the screen protector will bubble again due to the screen having a raised bump under it. Called again and stated it was still not fixed and now i am waiting for a replacement phone or a refund if one is not available per their representative. Their Texhs dont know how to fix defects i believe they only know how to replace screens or giving refurbs.

Noticed pictures online showing cracks etc. What I've noticed they took off the factory screen protector. My assumption is took factor screen protector off and put another one on & didn't clean it very well. So my guess dust etc was sandwiched in between then caused those cracks.

If it's a crack it's more likely a hairline in the screen itself.... issues with the protector were mostly airbubbles under the screen, since the screen protector is a plastic sheet it won't really show cracks but air bubbles more often.

That in itself won't shatter the glass, the screenprotector coming off will however make it more vulnerable.

I try to keep my Zflip 3 really clean. If you like to go the beach, be even more careful because some super fine sand might get into the phone and damage the super thin glass.

Lucky! Most of the mysterious cases of the center shatter don't seem to be from drops though, people say they just flip it open and see the crack which was very odd. It definitely feels sturdy however.

my screen broke after it fell about 2 cm was using it and had my vaporiser in my lap it fell forward onto the top right of the selfie camera now its damaged still usable but warranty will not cover even though its a contract phone this is the last flip i get. looks like the fold 4 is getting the camera in the s22 ultra so that will be my next phone hopefully

Mine Z FLIP 3 got screen issues ( burnt led always on) with 6 months of very careful use. It seems to be the TBF (time between failures ) on this new tech model. I would not recommend it... They fixed it (because it was still in warranty) but it seems will happen again in another 6 months and them with no warranty

The factory installed screen protector started bubbling on mine, by the end of the day it took out the screen. Samsung saw some worn paint on the hinge and just said 'physical damage' and killed my warranty. Absolute BS. The main reason i wanted this fone was becoz for me, it feels light weight...my Z Flip 3 started to show signs of scratching along the crease after 9 months...all that time it did 'NOT' have a Screen protector fitted, i did try but couldn't find any that fitted properly...so i just left it and carried on with the fone...the original protector was never there , even when i bought it new...i never even noticed till the Samsung repair guy pointed this out to me! ..tho Samsung say there was..i said there wasn't!..anyway i decided to take it back to the store expecting to be 'fobbed off' but...to my complete suprise, they said they would fit a NEW screen AND protector for 'FREE'?!..'WTF'?!...I couldn't believe my ears!...turns out when i bought the fone 9 months ago there was some kind of promotion with the deal and i was covered for the screen for 12 months!...'haPpy days'!... - :)
