Without understanding your needs, we can’t recommend anything. Since every product has a different purpose and pro n cons, we need to know you before give you a solution. If you are interested, please use the link to schedule a meeting: calendly.com/8advice/45-mins
I didn't expect to learn much here. But then amazed by the extensive and thorough coverage this 20min video presents. Great knowledge. Thanks for sharing!

如果你离退休还有20年,每年放Roth 就可以满足你的退休生活了。根本不需要在401 k 里放钱。不然退休后你要交很多税。而且钱会贬值的,得不赏失,眼光看远一点。
One key factor you forgot to consider is that the 4% rule is inflation adjusted while the annuity is not.

You could always add an inflation rider to your annuity, so called COLA (cost of living adjustments)

Yes, you could. But it would lower your income. I did a simple quote, an annuity with 3% inflation adjustment has initial annual payment of $45,000, which is roughly the same income level as 4% rule. Of course, annuity doesn’t have investment risk, which sounds more attractive than the 4% rule. However on the other hand, you’d lose some of your premium if you die early (breakeven is about 20 years).

@hongyili1632 Right, COLA comes with a price, but income annuity can guarantee you a lifetime income. The 4% rule? It might run out. If you seek both guaranteed lifetime income and inflation protection, you could consider combining the first two strategies I discussed in the video. Smart retirement planning means combining strategies to meet your needs. A well-rounded plan will definitely boosts your chances of retirement success👍

Well, there is always a tradeoff. You should know, the risk of running out of money in your retirement years is a huge stress point. Knowing that you can start getting around 7% of your initial investment per year as long as you live can be a powerful tool. One of the tools, diversification is key

I bought a couple of annuities but the payout rate is only about 4-4.5% at the age of 60 or higher. Why you quote a ch a high payout rate as 6.8% at 60 years old?
