Hey Zeos, you haven't mentioned the LCD-X's in a long while. Do you still think they are one of the best? I started saving way back when you uploaded the review. Also, Can you do a comparison video of different Planars?

AdeelZero LCD-X is my dream too. I think it's an end-game in that technology and price category. If you want to go for something else, consider something completely different.. like Stax L-700 for example. (It's the reason I skipped LCD-X to save for Stax + Energizer)

Advanced for some reason is using TR for their 2.5mm which is not how you do it. Everyone such as Hifiman uses TS out of TRS for their cables. So if you have a Hifiman cable they won’t work. You need 2.5mm mono.

Also Zeos. The 2.5mm Periapt cables you have all use old connectors they no longer use. They only use 2.5mm mono with these super long connectors that will fit into any deep recessed port, so they would work on the 1More you said your Peraipt cables wouldn’t work on.

Not sure why you would want to do something like that. The only thing that's gonna happen is that you make the file bigger. But if you really want to you can download Foobar2000. Import the file into a playlist, right click and choose convert. In the context menu select "...". In the opening converter setup choose WAV as the output format. Hit convert.

Hey Zeos, I have yet another question Do your mackie mr624s hiss? I recently got one (one of the monitors the other one is on the way) and I noticed while I was playing with the volume level on the back of it and the knob on my R2R-11 to find the perfect level that there was hissing coming from the monitors tweeter. Was it possible I could have given it to much power through the R2R that it caused damage? Or no? I will note that the hiss is something I had to look for because I was close to the monitor adjusting the audio levels also I did not remember hearing it during my first 2 days with it. this is my third. ps: I just want to say thank you for answering all of the previous questions I have ever asked. I am new in the audiophile community so I am a novice basically when it comes to everything. It leads me to ask a lot of questions.

Hey Zeos, just wanted to let you know that I have found 3 cables that work great with the Alpha. For SE the Hifiman OFC hybrid cable works just awesome and looks amazing to boot even if it is a tad stiff. Then I found two cables on EBay from BushManCablez from seller www.ebay.com/usr/kicker20000, randomly has products available. I purchased both a SE and a balanced cable from him. Both are high quality and work with the Alpha. I have found that on my pair, any and all cables including the stock have to be wiggled just a little to find the connection spot. I do not have as much of that issue with the BushManCablez. Once the spot is found, I haven't had an issue with it moving around or falling out. I love my Advanced Alpha using the balanced out from my Aune X7s.

I think a headphone's sound quality shouldn't depend on it's power source. Like if you bought an overly bright headphone, and you need to pair an overly dark amp to fix them, you probably shouldn't have bought them in the first place. That said I do like the red ring to indicate right but is the red ring worth 500?
@hyp0xia4286 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, due to factors like damping, current and voltage requirements, impedance, and SPL, the amplifier plays an enormous role in determining how a headphone sounds. I agree that you shouldn't be buying am amplifier to "fix" a headphone that doesn't match your sound signature preferences, but you still have to take the headphone into consideration when selecting an amplifier or you wind up like Zeos plugging a low impedance, low SPL headphone into an output transformerless tube amplifier with high output impedance and getting distortion before it gets loud enough.
