Just bought a pair of these for music listening in my living room. I compared them to the Kali Audio TP6s which I thought would suit me better because of the ability to customise the settings based on where the speakers sit in a room. The JBLs blew me away. I'm a casual listener who listens to a wide variety of music (classical - jazz/soul - electronic) and they are beautifully resonant, clear and exciting. THANKS ZEOS !

The changes mainly are: 1) Better waveguide, so the crossover region has better controlled directivity (better imaging and soundstage). 2) More transient tweeter (faster). 3) Better tone controls.

Have been looking around to upgrade my JBL 305 (fed by a decent DAC and pre-amp). However, within 1500 - 2000 Dollar budget, I found no 5 inch speakers can go as deep as the 305s. Even most of 7 inch ones can go only 55 Hz. After a serious audition of a few hifi speakers that claim to go lower than 50Hz, I simply do not trust them any more. While deciding to keep my 305s for another couple of years, I felt more guilty paying only around 250 on them ... In 21st century, technology rules.

@Professor51806 жыл бұрын
The T1 Vanatoos are what I'm considering for a 2.1 desktop setup. I'm for convenience and sound and I don't mind paying more. I'm looking at those compared to the JBLs, Aperion Allaire, and maybe even the Swan M200MKIII. I'm going to run a small 8 inch Rel Subwoofer. The self powered monitors seem the easiest. Or I could scratch all this and just use my receivers extra channels and route the wires to power a different set of non powered speakers ( Maybe a pair of RBH Impression R5-E's) for my desktop setup.
