Does your 350Z, 370Z, G35 or G37 have wheel hop you're trying to eliminate? The factory rear subframe bushings are the culprit as they allow for a lot of movement to increase driving "comfort".
In this video we show an alternative to solid or polyurethane subframe bushings as those parts require A LOT of work to install. These collars give you a hybrid of solid and rubber bushings, greatly improving driving characteristics.

@@Z33Garage You should look into ordering these, they're pretty cheap too. I think I'm going to do the poly motor mounts from Z1. Not looking forward to trying to get at those top bits though...

@@Z33Garage ya I heard the power delivery feels good with new motor mounts. I think poly is the way to go for my car as I'm building a pro touring style of car. Solid would just be too much.

Oh yeah!!! I did mine in (Jan 2018) earlier this year. I bought the collars during black Friday 2017. It was a very easy install especially if you have a lift.

Anthony, Thank you for write up on the collars...Just installed the Z1 collars and made a great difference in rear stability, no more rear shimmy under load change...Also got rid of a rear mystery clunk I had...I highly recommend this Mod if you want to vastly improve your performance handling....

@@AnthonyJ350 Still chasing the Intermittent P1078...R&R Exhaust Bank 1 Cam Sensor, still intermittent...Just cleaned the Crank Sensor, we'll see if that did any good...I hate shooting a parts cannon in hopes of a fix!

As someone else who lives in the rust belt. I can appreciate your attention to rust proofing. I will be installing differential bushing next weekend. I suspect, I will eventually be doing the subframe as well. LoL

The sound deadener is a great idea. I plan to use spray silicon on the bushings so that the inserts slide right on easier. So I will officially add this job to when I do the diff bushings.👍👍

I was looking at some of your old vids what ever happened with the targa 350z build and will you ever go forced induction?

@@michaeljones3972 I'm leaning towards an N/A build, but if I do forced induction it will be a super charger, most like the roots style from Stillen because it looks factory. I recently thought about nitrous because Z1 has an adapter that also has a fuel gauge and I could run everything clean and build something to hide the bottles and make it super clean

When dropping out the sub frame assembly, you have to drill out the bushings and burn the remaining bushing for the best results!! I was going to go with the collar system, but I decided ultimately on polyurethane bushings.

that area u showed with all that dirt buildup. mine scared the shit out of me. i poked at the plastic & heard crunch crunch like rust would do. oh no, i thought. nah just mud, rocks. metal was ok. whew!

I did the full removal and installed subframe bushings and it was a bitch. lol. but it's all out race not a street car so short-term pain long-term fun. thanks for the video helped with a problem I was having with reassembly.

Make sure it's torqued to spec after driving it. You will get a little NVH. It just knocks once every time you slow down?

Great video, but I have a question I hope you can answer. If you undo the rear support bolts but leave the front 2 attached still, will the rear still lower down at all? I have a sedan and am looking at installing the Bell Raceworks diff brace, but the trunk is in the way so I need to lower the subframe an inch or so to slip the bolt and sleeve in and I'm hoping to not have to drop the whole thing.

I would say you have a better change if you loosen them at least. Make sure you have a floor jack underneath to help support the subframe while you're working on it and use good jack stands.

No you shouldn't, you won't be affecting the alignment. I would do other parts of the suspension and get an alignment done so you're getting more done.

What would you say was the overall install time not counting the painting of the parts?

I would say if you never did it actual install time if you kept at it 4 to 5 hours. Cause when I film it usually takes twice as long. The first night I took off all the parts then the day after I installed the collars and put it back together.

The car was much more planted afterwards. The install was easy so if your bushings are still pretty good I would go for these.

Not with rotted out bushings. I would upgrade to polyurethane if they're done. If they look ok you can put these in.

I recently noticed the rear of my Z has become loose after the past few events. Everything in the rear is tight thinking it could be my subframe bushings

Definitely inspect them and check if they're still good. If the rubber is fine I would install these collars.

Totally can but it's messy and I don't want it all over this car. There is also Krown rust treatment which is like an oil bath.

No none. The rear suffrage doesn't see that much movement and doesn't pivot. So noise isn't an issue. Also this is a metal insert. Squeaking usually happens with a polyurethane bushing in a pivoting part.

More responsive and just felt more stable. Most likely because we removed a lot of slop out of the rear end.

My 2015 370z automatic 35,000 miles. When I go out of park to reverse it clunks as if I didn't use the ebrake. But I always do. Most of the bushing look ok. Not sire till I get a camera underneath and view it. Any ideas

I would have the valve clearance checked and you have to consider the timing chain (mainly the guides) would need replacement eventually.

@@hamstersmash Not really if well taken care of. These engines have been around for a while and just have evolved. Just depends on maintenance and how hard it was driven.

Does this help with wheel vibration? I'm on coilover and have 20x10+25 all around. After installing, I noticed alot of vibration while driving over 60 MPH.

Did you consider painting the chassis brace white to match the car(even though 99% of the time it won't be seen as well as its gonna get dinged and dirty from the road)? What's the name of that brace and who sells it?

They're powder coated from Z1, not sure what I can really do before install.

My car is approaching 150k miles and I am taking it to Nissan to have the install a newly updated rear subframe on the weekend.

I would get the collars and have them installed at the same time.

Is this a 370Z or a 350Z

This was a 350Z. The 350Z has an aluminum rear sub frame while the 370Z is steel I believe.
