Could you make a video rebuilding this machine or even taking out the engine and putting it back in? I am looking for a small “for parts” snowmobile to do this for my self.
@chadly3276 жыл бұрын
I can do a video like that i hace to do some work on the motor anyway

ohh thanks! Did you buy the snowsled used and with a blown engine? and what do you think topspeed would be with someone weighing about 160 pounds?
@chadly3276 жыл бұрын
I did get it used but the old motor didnt have much power so i upgraded it and it depends on what gear you run i started out with 12 front and 35 rear it was a power house with not much speed im running a 14 or 15 front now and a 40 rear slower takeoff better speed haven't cjecked the speed with this gear combo i weigh almost 200 and it goes good with me on it

Do you remember what size bit you went with?

I did the same swap in my kids Polaris 120. I had to do the same thing you did with the intake. My question is did you have to rejet the carb? The one we have dies a lot especially if you punch it. Like it's getting too much air.

Nicholas Trevena i did end up drilling the jet. I got some mini bits from napa and started small and went bigger until it just started running rich.

Nicholas Trevena i dont remember what size it was because i have done to much carb work i bored and jetted the crap out of it now so its hard to remember where i started but you dont have to open it up much to make a difference

chadly327 thanks for the quick reply! The reason I ask is I got a sled without the motor or the clutch...so I have no clue which clutch fits this Harbor freight motor
