this game has SO much potential! lean on Farming in the early game for food variety. think ahead regarding buildings and where you want them leaving space. Trade is important. read closely into what each development offers and plan accordingly.

Early game you need to "muster" your milita (this is a specific thing, you need to tell them to gather at a specific point) and go take on some bandits early, the coin you get from ransacking their camp will allow you to open a trade route and/or buy another oxen, you should be ok to take on early bandits with only 20 spearmen. Also, always make sure to EXPAND your storehouse, rather than build another one....as it will needlessly take up a whole family you could use for something else. Another tip: When building houses, build slightly wider individual plots rather than building blocks of housing as a wider-longer plot allows for the house to be expanded to house an additional family (i.e. two families per house), also helps if you make the plots irregular shapes too aid this.

Really like the look of this game so far, but one thing that confuses me is that I’m sure a few of the buildings (the farm for example) said that if their not doing anything they will help out round the village? Which would mean un-assigning people from buildings in winter is pointless and opens up the potential for missing seasons because you’ve forgotten to re-assign people to the building?
