@@thechosenone1533 There was the Valley Hacienda Apartments By The Burbank Airport. Ghetto or not, the world itself can be dangerous at any time. Plus, Jake rarely came to Alan's except for on the weekends and even then he only came when his mom forced him. There was also the time when he got that apartment after the ghost of Charlie told him to stop Sponging off of Walden and he did. But, once he learned that Charlie in the female firm was fucking with him, he weasel'd his way back into the house. So, he had the means to move out though it wasn't gonna be by a beach. And, if as ll else failed, he could've packed a piece for protection. Additionally, at the end of season 3 Alan had won a half a million dollars and instead of getting on his feet, he was dead broke in 4 months and begging Charlie for a place to stay again. He lived in the manner that he did because he put and kept himself in that position.

@A And what would YOU do? Go into court and tell the judge to go fuck herself with that gavel? Sure you would. As a lawyer, I can assure you that Alan is 100% accurate as to what happens to men in divorce: i.e. he works so hard to allow his child to have a stay-at-home mother; and as "thanks," the law says YOU have to pay her legal bills since "she deserves representation but can't afford it." Then they also say that you stopped her from advancing her career, despite her being a deadbeat parasite who never WANTED one. Once you say "I do" and sign the marriage contract, your balls are HISTORY. Charlie, meanwhile, breaks the rules by getting AROUND them, gaming the system using ruthless tricks, doing what WORKS rather than worrying about what's "fair." But he knows that Judith can take Jake away at will, like in the episode "Just like Buffalo" (S01E23), so he watches his step with Judith as well, and never says anything to her.

Alan DOES demand Jake, but they ignore him. This episode shows that have the legal advantage; but men have the EMOTIONAL advantage, since Charlie comes over and charms them, and ends up having them all over at his house, drunk, and probably having sex with them soon after. He also uses strategy of isolating them from each other so they can't act as a group, and then finds out their weak spot so he can play on it by pretending to have the same problem.

I do not blame her, as Charlie is not a real good influence on her son. Being drunk all of the time, irrisponcible, women walking around naked, exposing the child. Yes, she can have the court deny him of his parental rights if the situation does not meet the court's expectation for the child. So that would mean that that the father needs to move to another location that does not involve Charlie and plus the courts could deny rights to his nephew.

Alan is more of a bad example 2 Jake than Charlie is. Afterall, it's Charlie's House. 2nd, Alan doesn't set a good example by showing his son that its best to mooch off of people. Wins Half a million dollars and instead of tryna get on his feet and provide a home 4 him and Jake, Alan blows that money in just 4 months with no regard to his son having his own home 2 come home to. He only thought of himself and his own happiness. Cheated on Lindsay with Melissa even though she housed and fed him. Stabbed his best friend "Larry" in the back by banging his girlfriend behind his back. Stabbed Herb in the back by banging Judith behind his back as well. Extorted thousands of dollars from the very family that housed and fed his punk ass. And, there are several episodes where Alan put himself 1st and put his own needs and desires 1st with no regard as to how it effected Jake. And, its like Jake told Charlie one time: "I expect crazy behavior from my uncle but not my dad" when he found out that his dad was banging his best friend's mother. I mean, seriously, who would do something like that.... Alan of course. Alan was a worse influence on Jake than Charlie. 4 Real
