Man to be honest this is the only game that i struggle to view it as a game, its more then a movie also...its a real living, breathing experience, i didnt play it, i experience it, its hard to put it in words. I love everything about it, from the lore to the small details that strucks you and manage to push your buttons in a way no other game did. Apart from all this emotions the game, from a technical perspective its amazing, graphics, gameplay, animation, all its top notch. Also the story and the plot its mind blowing, i love the fact that the producers did not go with the flow and with what fans expected and instead they took a whole new approach and delivered a true masterpiece that would be talked about for years to come.

I did not resist the urge to play it again, so i did and to my surprise i enjoyed it even more, i discovered little secrets and easter eggs that i missed on my first run. Lets hope that the multiplayer will drop soon, cant wait to see what will they bring to the table. Stay safe bro !

It's almost like no one is happy anymore unless it is exactly what they want with all these big franchises. This was truly a work of art. It is clear that everyone who worked on this put everything they have behind this game. From their personal stories to the craft they have mastered over the years. If people had just let go of their assumptions of what the game should be and delve into the story with an open mind then it would most likely be a much better experience for them.

Yeah, it's a shame what happened to this game, I litterally watched no trailer, no news, for keeping the surprise, I played the game, absolutely loved it, and then went on the internet, and saw all thoses LGBT discussions, thoses debate about Neil's writing skills, debates here and there for really poor reasons, when I played the game I saw no feminist propaganda, no LGBT propaganda, and no lack of writing skills whatsoever. I just saw a game that tells a story about the cycle of hatred, and it tells it very well.

My only problem with it is: I wanted revenge for Joel, but then I had to play as the killer for like 10 hours and I just wanted to kill this girl I was playing as. I loved everything except the Abby gameplay after she kills Joel. I just wanted to get through it so I can get back to playing as Ellie. The Abby gameplay felt like side quests and I just wanted to get back to the main story.

I hate that in all the debate over the story, things get missed. Things like this brilliant ost. Compared to the first game, it’s more stripped down, almost broken sounding. Haunting strings mix with pounding, fuzzy synths and crackling percussion to perfectly fit the mood of whatever scene is on. Masterpiece.

I still have some issues with it and there's certain narrative beats I'm not fond of. I have a hard time reconciling parts of this game with it's predecessor. But I totally see why people love it, theres a lot to love. I'm stoked for those who do, you know, more power to you. I mean words can't describe how much I *wanted* to love this thing, but for a handful of reasons it just didn't quite land it for me. It's a bummer that the discourse is/has been so toxic, felt like there could've been a lot more meaningful conversation around it :/

LOU2 made me feel things I’ve never felt before while playing a game, it challenged my beliefs, triggered my anxieties classic ptsd symptoms, yet I absolutely loved it. I won’t change a thing about it, I feel like Joel failed to protect Sarah and he was going to do everything to protect Ellie, it was as much for him as it was for Ellie. Joel also wanted some sort of redemption, not saying he didn’t care about her he absolutely did, but Joel acted selfishly and also did many things along the way that could have been avoided. As for Ellie as much as I love the character but ever since she found out she was immune she built up this whole idea about saving the world. When Joel saved her she started struggling with the idea of being just another “regular” human being. Abby well, she was just being Abby! Where’s the steroids gang at? Haha. I enjoyed playing with Abby even though I hated her at first, but after seeing both sides of the story her actions made more sense. Beautiful game! My top 5 of all time for sure.

Ellie never got a chance to reconcile, that was sort of the point in my mind - why she was so upset, because the potential was there to make things right again between them. This story was a miserable mess in my opinion, especially the last few hours. It wasn't deep, it wasn't emotional, it was disappointing and eventually cartoonish in it's over the top bleakness. Gameplay and visuals were top tier though.

they didn't like it because it triggered them. they couldn't accept that the characters acted from emotions, they see those actions as unreasonable and from their perspective they aren't wrong. but the characters have a different perspective. abby lost her father and quite frankly ellie did what she had to to survive. you as a player might disagree with those actions but that's okay, because in that moment the character would disagree with you too. it's a game about accepting the truth and truth is emotions can make us act in ways even we might see as unreasonable. that's why many players were mad when ellie doesn't finish her revenge. because from the players perspective she went trough hell and back just to give up and stop, but from ellie's perspective she started to realize what a mistake she made. (and i know some people will point out she killed 100+ people but don't forget that especially such things can't always be counted towards the full kill count considering you in some cases have the choice between going lethal or sneaking past them)

@Judgmental fish the writing isn't horrible, the choices are made to hard on purpose. The writers found try and force you to like someone over someone else. I think people mix not liking a piece of media and the media being bad. Yes the game has issues, but just because you disagree with the direction in which the story went doesn't make it bad.

I cant deny the fact that this game is a masterpiece .... This is literally the best game I've ever played . No other game has ever played with emotions at this level and still live up to my expectations. I understand the hate this game is getting because of the story ....this game is differently build and I respect that. Naughty dog did a great job .

to call this a game is an understatement, to have not only these life like characters with emotions, lives and goals but backed by this incredible soundtrack, visuals and story, it makes for a truely amazing experience, say what you will about the story, like it or not you cant deny this is yet another fantastic creation by naughty dog, and i truley hope they continue to thrive as a company in the future and continue to keep me excited for what incredible stories they have to share with us next

I haven't played the game, only watched a gameplay as I didn't have the console needed. but man, man the whole plot, characters, soundtrack and environment ? the way we experienced both sides and came to understand their actions ? they were all too good. -Spoilers i personally think that TLOU2 was just too complex for most people with the expectations of games to be very clear cut and appeasing the fans being the only priority. TLOU2 is a realistic perspective into a individuals life during a crisis. anyone around her was subject to death no matter their standing, because in reality death won't worry about that. unseen circumstances happen and humans do terrible things when pushed to. in TLOU2 we are especially shown true human nature; regret, pain, hardship, envy, revenge, hate, ignorance, empathy, guilt. we are shown the perspectives of two sides in this story. in reality, neither is a good nor bad person. they are just people. people who have both done terrible things but have also done such in defence of who they care for. this is human nature in its essence. in this world, there is no law binding people to not commit taboo things. moral obligations are broken down and humans now act as what comes naturally rather than having something guide them. human nature isn't pretty nor 'good'. .nature is unbiased and 'harsh'. nature is subjected to everyone, and there's no stopping that in this world in particular. in ellies side, who we have been travelling and experience her perspective with, we have grown attached to her. her immunity gives her this status of importance that we subconscious use to value her higher than the dozens of dozens of others she has killed for a questionable cause. her immunity is constantly in question of actually being of use to anyone else other than her, and in the first game i think it really capitalises on this importance throughout. to where, we don't even question joel killing an entire hospital of people just to save one humans life. because we are being empathic, and being drawn into this sense of greater being that ellie is to everyone else. then in the second game, ellie doesn't have that importance anymore. not everything goes her way anymore, she isn't this 'light' in the dark. she's now just like everyone else, which she had always been. and the actions of the past catch up, with joel dying being the main sign of this. ironically, she has immunity but is no longer immune to the cruel nature of this cruel world they live in. while she does reach out for contentment in her life and wants to separate herself from further pain, which is shown very clearly when herself and dina are finally living their dream despite what has happened, despite causing so much more pain to abby - she is even spared to live. she finds herself still filled with guilt of not doing anything and guilt of what joel thought of how ellie viewed him. not being able to get that revenge that she needed to justify her own emotional turmoil, was what really drove her. that guilt was there because of her, and there was nothing that could change that. so she instead, is coaxed easily by tommy to go 'finish' what she 'needed' to do. tommy equally projecting this guilt as he feels he didn't make up for what happened to his brother. this is as human as humans get. we are very complex beings, we attach to things and dig up things as our concept of time either goes by or drives us insane if we let it. does it always make sense? no it doesn't, but that's the point. sometimes we just don't really know. in the end of the game it projects this. ellie doesn't really want to go through with this and her blank expression while getting to abby projects her inner thoughts; her questions, her guilt leading her, her insecurities that joel couldn't forgive her, questioning if joel would of wanted this. a sea of thoughts roam her mind leaving her a mess with not a clear goal in sight. at this point, ellie has lost herself. and while she had took even more from abby like her friends, her home and future. abby had found all of that back with lev. a reason to go on, an answer. i think this perspective makes the last fight a lot more concluding and makes it very symbolic with many metaphors in place. while ellie has this sea of thoughts and emotions, she fights by the sea - while abbys 'answer' is separated from it. ellie had been avoiding fully confronting her thoughts through these couple chapters, and now she was finally confronting them, along with the root cause - being abby. as the fights comes to a close and ellie sees that she can finally rip out the root. she remembers, confronts and realises. that this will solve nothing but add abby to this sea. she stops. as a viewer, we are met with confusion and anger. we think, we are thinking for the better of ellie. while ellie has just got her answer. she finally remembered her reason for why the senseless pain wasn't worth fighting for anymore. she realises that abby had already found this, and taking that away from her would make her no better. they had been in the same footsteps the entire time. while we can argue who was a better person all day, that is down to personal ethics and morals. in essence, they are neither good nor bad people. like i said before, they are just people. people who have both done terrible things but have also done such in defence of who they care for. The last of us 2 is reality. And people simply don't like confronting that. Ironic? isn't it. We end up becoming what the story was getting over.

This games is just amazing it's weird to describe I loved the first game and I think.this one is so much better emotionally I played and and finished this about a week after it came out and still.havent gone back to play it again yet just cause of the emotional side and the detail.in the story is incredible. Easily.the best game I've ever played
