Growing up in Portland, we had two Dunkin Donuts stores that slowly closed so the closest Dunkins was like in Las Vegas because they had not spread to California yet. Then I went to school in NYC where they were everywhere (perhaps outdone by Starbucks) so I went crazy on their French Crullers. Maybe it's nostalgia factor or because no other place made them but I think of French Crullers as their best donut.
I love donuts. When I was in Southern California, there was no Dunkin donuts, so I wrote an email letter to the company then you know what? A few months later, they opened a Dunkin Donuts Shop near our neighborhood. It was a big come back for Californians to have a Dunkin Donuts m to the west coast I believe.
Dunkin is predominately present in the east coast I don’t know if there’s a shop in Washington tbh.. munchikens are pretty well known lol they are just Dunkin’ not Dunkin’ Donuts. And yes minter donuts were born in the states (:
