Great job, Caleb, for paying attention to all the details. There are two extremist groups in Eritrea - the HIGDEF group, who believe that the land is more important than its people, and another group that wants to take advantage of the current situation and destroy the existence of Eritrean identity and the country itself. The majority of the people are just observers, but they remain proud Eritreans who, unfortunately, don't have the chance to express their thoughts due to various reasons. Respectfully I disagree with your take. The other extremist group which you're referring to are not against the country Eritrea, but they are against the fake Eritrean nationalism which is actually an ultra-nationalism based on hatred. Eritrean people are as normal people to anyone, we are not unique in anyway, we need to unwind the old pfdj's brainwashing machine to be normal. That's the current reality unfortunately.

And speaking about the subject matter which is explained in detail, even the concept of Freedom is simply hard to ascertain as thus far majority of Eritreans inside and outside are disillusioned as to what the end result is of independence. Kaleb has two moral scale or compass for human life. If an Eritrean students drunk with communist ideology join Shabia from diaspora and died in Ghedli ( Shiftnet) their life is sacred so Kaleb has to mourn their death for ever, but if peasant kids as young as 6 years old are kidnapped by Shabia to be Shabia soldiers and ended up as fodder cannon in Sahil trenches, it is ok for Kaleb. As everyone knows 80% of Shabia tegadelti were underage boys and girls forcefully rounded up from Eritrea villages .For kaleb , it is normal and acceptable for Eritrean peasants kids to be kidnapped by shabia for sake of Eritrean sovereignty. His hypocrisy is naked .
