IMO, this kind of music is the sweetest, most melodious, most harmonious, most flowing, most soothing, most smooth, most cheerful music in the world. Every note flows smoothly or melodiously to the next next one. It does amazing things to the soul and spirit. It is so relieving, calming, satisfying, fulfilling, and healing to the otherwise so often chaotic and erratic parts of life. I never tire of listening to this music. There is nothing else, I really want to listen to. I grew up near Pine River, Manitoba, and always longed to go the weddings, dances, festivals, etc. in the area, to hear and dance to the music and eat the amazing Ukrainian food. When the bands would sometimes throw in some so called modern music, I always found it so disconcerting. A let down. Thank you so much for posting this. The only place in this neck of the woods, where this kind of music can be found, that I know of, is at the Toronto Ukrainian Festival on Bloor Street in September. And not always so good. I was first there in about 2012 or 13, when Eugene Melnyk evidently put a lot of money into it, and they hit the ball far out of the park. Extremely well organized, high quality and high toned, high speed, all the way through. It took my breath away continuously. Unforgettable! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene_Melnyk The next yr, something happened and the festival was a flop. Have not been able to make it back there, since. If this kind of music ever gets lost, the world will not be the same for me. From Cambridge, Ontario, now.

Thanks ever so much for your kind words and I am glad that you enjoy it .. That is the reason I undertook this project to try to promote this music but moreso to preserve it.. As you say if someone never done it is would be lost and even worse forgotten completely. Cheers and the Best in 2022!

Glad you enjoyed it Ed. Are you from Frazerwood? Have you seen the retirement party for Andy Yablonsky a few years back...Just search Andy Yablonski on my KZbin page and it will show up..If you read the text of the posting it was held in Wpg. I was still in Saskachewan at this time but think it was held on the grounds of 215 Legion near Henderson and North Perimiter.
