Interesting clip, good to get a history on Zacatecas.

Yes I wasn't expecting it to have such important history but it makes sense when you see the architecture

You know i came here because i watched a video about a cartel flaying of a young man in zacactecas and i got curious about the state and here I am. I feel bad for innocent and poor people who get caught in cartel violence

What’s the safety like?

Extreme danger! Have you not been online recently?

@@ggaz683 well I haven’t seen any specifics I kno it’s bad but I’m not sure how bad it is.

When I was there (only 1 day) it felt safe. But statistically it is considered dangerous. Usually violence in Mexico is mostly cartel related but I can't say for Zacatecas specifically

Zacatecas is 100 times safer than any drug riddled zombie apocalypse homeless encampment city in the USA but keep being scared and gringos stay away from our beautiful Zacatecas!

@@HumoftheEarthZacatecas resident here, so the state is huge, and most of the crime happens on the more isolated parts of the whole state, literally hundreds of kilometers from the city, the city by day it’s pretty chill, in more “soft” (robberies, assaults, nothing violent) crime it’s very rarely happening, most of the crime it’s violent but it doesn’t happens on the capital city, the cities are just like the body dumpsters for the cartels in the whole region not only the state which gives the city a very bad reputation even though being a citizen it’s calm most of the time

I use to live in villanueva zacatecas in a little rancho suburb. It was nice. Not too far from the big city. Sometimes it wasn't easy being the only white guy around.

Can you elaborate?

Did you live in Villanueva or somewhere outside of Villanueva (ranch)? Villanueva is technically a city. My family is from Villanueva and I've actually seen a handful of white Americans out there. You also see plenty of Mennonites and/or white Mexicans too.
