For my husband and I this was 'our song'. We sold everything and bought a sailboat. We were able to sail around the Caribbean for four years but unfortunately he died 9/4/23. This was the one song I wanted played at his memorial. I can't hear it without crying but it means so much to me.

Met this girl about 7 years ago. The chemistry was so fantastic. Everything was real. She went to the Zack brown concert. And they did not play this song free. So I learned the song all the lyrics. Practice about 20 times till I got it down just right. On our fifth date, we sat down at the dinner table and I said I have a surprise for you and she said what's up? I said you did not get to hear the song from the Zach brown band Free. So I'm here to sing it for you. I sang it word-for-word lyrics and all saying it perfect right in front of her at the dinner table ,,She was blown away.!! Couple weeks later ghosted!!! went back to her Ex. It was a sad, sad time. And now that's long over, but I never heard from her.😮

I play this song on loop. I'll be 72 march 28. I am rich beyond your wildest dreams. I started out from a small rural town in ky. At 18 I started hitchhiking and have been to many countries but of all the places I've been to and all the beautiful people I have met lovers I've had sunsets I've watched the sun coming up while listening to the ocean beat against the shore lying naked in the sand. Hitching a ride to boulder and walking up on past Estes park into the mountains. It was springtime and the bite of winter blew hard at nite while the sun was almost hot during the day. I found a small cave by a stream way up high snow still cover the earth. I put an old army blanket over the entrance while watching the fire I'd made jump around and listened to the wind howl thru the trees. I had a child at 26 and raised him the best I could. He has his doctorate in law and doesn't speak to me he says for self preservation. I was so in love with that little boy and gave him the world but it was my world not his. Our children are from us not of us. Was so heartbreaking. I will always remember him as my little boy and I moved on living in my old jeep with my boxer the love of my life. I've seen the world and I've seen our county change. Kids today don't have a clue what the word free means but I do and I would die to save this dirt that i love from sea to the mountains to the ocean shores. May God help us keep her. Thank you zb for making my heart sing and remember what life has been about for this old woman with such a young heart!!

You describe my life. I too began journeying via foot and thumb at a young age. At sixty four, I am still at it. Society tells you how you should proceed through life, I chose a different path. I decided that I would go to the mountain and climb it, rather than wait until all that I could do was come back with a T-shirt that said that I had been there. Your life, is a personal choice. It is no others to make for you. I chose, to be a collector of experiences, and though at times, it has been hard, I wouldn’t change a single thing. Love ya Sister!

"Sir Van" is not a nice guy. Talented, but a jerk. I hated country music but loved Chris Stapleton when I heard him sing The National Anthem so I've been looking for alternative country since then. And this is alternative country. Zach Bryan, Jelly Roll...

I’ve had one hell of ride in life I’m only 22 I listen to this every morning to remind my self the blessing I have to live in this country. I try not to dwell on my past hardships I know others have had it rougher even though it seemed my homelessness, in and out of juvenile, and much more was a never ending cycle. But life’s good and God is good I’m here today that’s what matters! Finally starting my career tomorrow not much stress anymore got a beautiful family and soon to be wife. This me my honeys song we grab a drink and just watch that tide come in and out! Anyone who reads this remember there’s light at the end of the tunnel life’s a bitch but take a deep look into what’s important what really matters and that will pick you up! 🇺🇸🇨🇱

I was 10 years old when Van Morrison came out with “Into the Mystic” back in 1970. It is still, and will always be my favorite song. Y’all have done this song, amazing, justice by mashing it with your song “Free”. This will be my number one mashup. Every band member on ever instrument, absolutely phenomenal.

I was born in 1957. Did the Columbia House 12 records for a buck thing in the early 70's. I l really lucked out picking Van's Moondance album. Really appreciated Van ever since. Saw him last year in Harrisburg with Willie Nelson and Sturgill Simpson.

For many years I had a very successful security company in Canada. Over the years we performed our service for most of the big name performer. Elton John, Willie, Burton, Melissa, etc. I treated my 15 year old daughter and 96 years mother to a Zac Brow concert at Rogers centre in Toronto Canada. The band was on the money and the crowd really appreciated them. Being a musician so did I but when they came back out for their encore they each chose a song they wanted to perform, It was so moving I was in tears. Every song they chose sounded like the original band that made the songs famous. Collectively, as musicians these gentleman are as good as any I have ever heard. Thank you band!!!!!
