There's not a single song they've produced (IMO) that they don't knock out of the park & grip some emotion of your's. What a gem of a band. This particular song beautifully true to it's title.

I think about my ex who died from cancer in 2016. We remained best of friends, even thirty years after ending a relationship in which we shared a beautiful son. Our love changed, but it was more pure. He loved the ocean and the beach, and I think of him every time I hear this song. I still miss you, my friend. Thanks ZBB.

I've been searching for this song for days and only remembered the part that says "wind whistling cross my bottle still can't blow away my sorrow" but I remember the lyrics slightly wrong and I couldn't find it. Now that I finally found it I finally can get my emotions out. The whole reason I looked for this song is because it helps me feel when I'm numb. Due to many traumas it's hard to cope and feel strong enough emotions to be able to let it out so it keeps compressing until I break. I've loved Zac brown band ever since I was a kid singing sic'em on a chicken, chicken fried, and a lot of their classics. They've helped me with each sad song to feel the pain I've been to numb to feel, and make me smile with their silly upbeat songs. No matter the mood they have something to match it or help it. I'm a big fan and amazed at every song no matter how many times I've heard it before.

There's a lot of "takes" you can get from this song. When i was pregnant with my twins, I didn't know that we would all make it, and I would listen to this and cry. It was so bitter sweet " your not here, but I can feel you." I would cry, and cry... FYI we all made it here and are doing well , but it was not uneventful

This reminds me of my great uncle's fight with lung cancer. Navy vet and made it through all that, but spent 30+ years of his life damn near bedridden because of this or that, then spent a good 4 or 5 years battling the cancer. He'd just wanted to be with his family and feel healthy again. He's not in pain anymore, I'm sure. Plus he got to see his mom again. Just wish he wasn't estranged from us for so long, which lead to us having him for so little time. He deserves the rest and peace, though, however many tears it causes us.

I most certainly would't dislike it, but this song caused me to sob like a child for 10 minutes on the field at Fenway Park when the ZBB played. If he hadn't prefaced the song with "This song is for anyone who has lost someone" I might not have gone over the wall. I was crying so hard the man and his son behind me---complete strangers---put their hands on my shoulder. And my mother died (holding my hand) 12 years ago. The hurt never goes away. I come here when I need to purge my emotions.

Can't tell where the sky begins and the water ends No clouds to hide the sun Waves playing me a symphony upon the sand I lay drifting on the ocean with this bottle in my hand Sat down on the boardwalk for a little while Your memory my company Something about this place had a way to make you smile You always loved this island breeze The wind whistling across my bottle still can't blow away the sorrow That tomorrow you won't be here with me So I raise it up and toast the day we met I won't forget the way you love me, the amazing way you love me It's bittersweet, you see You're not here but I can feel you Every memory is on the tip of my tongue Close my eyes, see your face, hold on tight to yesterday Praying when I wake, it was just a dream It's bittersweet Doctor said there's nothing we can do Took my hand said take me home To the only place with half a chance to take the pain away Make me feel alive before I go You said life is only borrowed So let's wash away our sorrow That tomorrow I won't be here with you Go and live your life with no regrets and don't forget how much I love you I love you It's bittersweet, you see You're not here but I can feel you Every memory is on the tip of my tongue Close my eyes, see your face, hold on tight to yesterday Praying when I wake, it was just a dream It's bittersweet I brought you back just like you wanted So you don't ever have to leave And when I poured you across the southern sky, I couldn't help but to cry I know you finally got your wings Bitter-bittersweet Bittersweet The wind whistling across my bottle still can't blow away the sorrow That tomorrow you won't be here with me So raise it up and toast the day we met I won't forget the way you love me, the amazing way you love me It's bittersweet

ZAC BROWN BAND (2015) - BITTERSWEET (Traducción) Can't tell where the sky begins and the water ends No puedo decir dónde empieza el cielo y acaba el agua No clouds to hide the sun Sin nubes que oculten el sol Waves playing me a symphony upon the sand La olas interpretan para mí una sinfonía sobre la arena I lay drifting on the ocean with this bottle in my hand A la deriva en el océano con esta botella en la mano Sat down on the boardwalk for a little while Sentado en la pasarela de madera durante un rato Your memory my company Tu recuerdo, mi compañía Something about this place had a way to make you smile Algo en este lugar tenía la manera de hacerte sonreir You always loved the sound of the waves Siempre te encantó el sonido de las olas The wind whistling across my bottle still can't blow away the sorrow El viento que silba a través de mi botella aún no puede llevarse el pesar That tomorrow you won't be here with me De que mañana no estarás aquí conmigo So I raise it up and toast the day we met Así que la levanto y brindo por el día en que nos conocimos I won't forget the way you love me, the amazing way you love me No olvidaré tu manera de amarme, la asombrosa manera de amarme It's bittersweet, you see Es agridulce, ya ves You're not here but I can feel No estás aquí pero puedo sentir Every memory is on the tip of my tongue Cada recuerdo en la punta de la lengua Close my eyes, see your face Cierro los ojos, veo tu rostro Hold on tight to yesterday Me aferro con fuerza al ayer Praying when I wake, it was just a dream Rezando para que cuando despierte, sólo haya sido un sueño It's bittersweet Es agridulce Doctor said there's nothing we can do El médico dijo que no había nada que pudiésemos hacer Took my hand said take me home Cogiste mi mano, dijiste, llévame a casa To the only place with half a chance to take the pain away Al único lugar con alguna oportunidad de llevarse el dolor Let me feel alive before I go Déjame sentirme viva antes de irme You said life is only borrowed Dijiste que la vida es tiempo prestado So let's wash away our sorrow Así que dejemos que desaparezca nuestra pena That tomorrow I won't be here with you De que mañana no estaré aquí contigo Go and live your life with no regrets Ve y vive tu vida sin remordimientos And don't forget how much I love you Y no olvides cuánto te amo I love you Te amo It's bittersweet, you see Es agridulce, ya ves You're not here but I can feel No estás aquí pero puedo sentir Every memory is on the tip of my tongue Cada recuerdo en la punta de la lengua Close my eyes, see your face Cierro los ojos, veo tu rostro Hold on tight to yesterday Me aferro con fuerza al ayer Praying when I wake, it was just a dream Rezando para que cuando despierte, sólo haya sido un sueño It's bittersweet Es agridulce I brought you back just like you wanted Te traje de vuelta como quisiste So you don't ever have to leave Así que nunca tienes que irte And when I poured you across the southern sky Y cuando te vertí a través del cielo meridional I couldn't help but to cry No pude evitar llorar I know you finally got your wings Sé que finalmente tienes tus alas Bitter-bittersweet Agri- agridulce Bittersweet Agridulce The wind whistling across my bottle El viento que silba a través de mi botella Still can't blow away the sorrow Aún no puede llevarse el pesar That tomorrow you won't be here with me De que mañana no estarás aquí conmigo So I raise it up and toast the day we met Así que la levanto y brindo por el día en que nos conocimos I won't forget the way you love me No olvidaré tu manera de amarme The amazing way you love me La asombrosa manera de amarme It's bittersweet Es agridulce
