I agree… scary that he’s only 19
@5386963 ай бұрын
That's the whole deal. Draft a 19 year with the physical tools who is good right now. Usually you have to choose between older guys or young projects. If he gives nothing back on either end and is above average on both ends then from the jump he'd be the second best player on the team. @@thekidshere6955

@@MattyOkay Dyson is the best defensive player on the Hawks and you NEED him next to Trae. Don’t forget Dice was the 8th pick in the draft and hes still only 20 years old.
@surisuri10022 ай бұрын
@@PorkyPIGG yea fax I like his upside as an off ball cutter and spot up option. That’s all Trae needs from him on offense, and then on defense he’s the star. Also Deandre Hunter has just disappointed me enough man😭

Risacher and Daniels are gonna add a level of defense around Trae Young that we've never seen. Honestly think Daniels will give us the defense that we were hoping Dejounte would provide. But Risacher has looked promising, as of now I'm glad we took him over Sarr.

Yes : many people said it was a weak draft class but there will be very good players in it. No Chet, Wemby or Flagg of course but far from trash ballers.

Zacch's father lost (only by 10) the 2000 olympics finals against team USA in Sydney so you can say he was born with a ball in his hands. Last year i said he would be a great choice in the draft as he was only #5-6 seed and everybody thought Sarr would be #1... then Zacch was #1 and i'm convinced he will be the best rookie with Castle. Spurs dreamt of drafting him, Hawks did : they will be rewarded.

As a rule of thumb, an international player is always going to do better than his draft position indicates. Fans resist the drafting of foreigners. And owners want to sell tickets.

Stop trying to predict his numbers. Lol. Just know he can shoot the ball. He has good shot mechanics. He can shoot from anywhere. It appears he can give you any shot. His game will mature. He's still young. He has a great foundation though.

Expecting that level of shot creation, shot making and ball handling based on where he is now is probably a little much. PG is one of the more skilled players in the NBA. And he was also a significantly twitchier and more explosive athlete at that age than Zac A Tatum prototype is more realistic. Similar build and athleticism, good not great shooter, and Tatum has become primarily a straight line driver who isn't a particularly good isolation player and gets a lot of his value from his defense. Risacher can absolutely do that in 7 years.

He's not that level of passer. And he's a more aggressive scorer with better slashing skills than Batum was Guys like Batum, Diaw and Draymond were pass first. I don't think you can say that about Risacher. But as a floor, yes. At worst Risacher is the kind of player who -- like Batum -- will continue getting playoff minutes late into his career because of his size and shooting.
