Brilliant vid lads, love the fact that you lot are stretching them out abit more. As a Villa fan I’d have one argument and that would be for Torres. For me, for what he’s been signed to do and make this team, he’s been amazing and deserves that category. He’s the single handed reason we have transitions into this season with a new much more successful quick countering football, mostly down to his incredible passing ability. The high line with him in it compared to out of it is incredible, you don’t truly notice the difference he makes until he’s out of it because he sets the tempo and the start of that line that has been miles away the most productive/technically best in the league. Without him we aren’t 4th and it’s not a surprise we fell off and then immediately went on a 3 game winning street as soon as he got injured for 2 months then returned. The genuinely the best signing in the season the club has made in literal years, spanning back to Benteke’s opening prem season for levels of influence.

I would argue Macca signing of the season. Without him our midfield wouldn't nearly as good as it is now and he has played in pretty much every position in midfield and has done more then enough for Liverpool.

Emery has built this Villa system around Torres, their points total with him in side vs without is drastic. Diaby is still taking time to settle in and hasn't consistently started for months. Bailey has been one of the most effective wingers in Europe this season.

Aston Villa fan here. Got to say Pau Torres has been integral to how we have played this season and is one of our best players, the games he missed we really struggled to control games in. Hes also key to our offside trap. Diaby has been good wouldnt say amazing and definitely not one of our best players this season. Love the videos though keep them coming!

Pau Torres has been Villa's best signing by a mile. He's integral to how they play. Regardless of how often he wins duals. Also think Zaniolo has done what he was brought in to do. Villa were never gonna sign him permanently, just emergency Buendia cover

I'd love to have a discussion with you about Szoboszlai because that was an incredibly disingenuous argument around him. The calls for him to be in TOTS was from the start of the season when he was one of the best performers in the league. He then had a couple mediocre games in which he was clearly tired and spent the last few months struggling with injury. The lad is incredibly talented as a footballer and with a run of games can easily become one of the best midfielders around. It's fair to have your criticisms around him but why use a strawman argument by bringing up opinions held 4+ months ago?

Yeah, even when he played as a 6, he was unreal but he wasn't much in the conversation as he was doing the dirty work but now that he is free from his duties as a holding midfielder he can do what he is best at and that is how direct he is with his passing and his ball striking ability is incredible, the one interesting thing is all 3 cdm for top 3 teams, rodri rice and mac allister are scoring important goals/contributions and they all are having mind-blowing seasons

Ryan gravenberch is the youngest player for Liverpool not named Harvey Elliott. He’s just a few days older than Cole palmer. He’s not played much last season at Bayern. Came into a Liverpool team who were forced to change the team every week due to new injuries. He’s got 3 goals and 2 assists in very limited time. It’s really harsh to put him in awful

Nobody that has actually watched Liverpool would be upset that you put Mac alister above sobo. Sobo looked like the best midfielder on the planet for about 10 games. Unfortunately he’s been out and then playing hurt since January. McAllister was solid as a 6, did a job. He’s been spectacular as an 8/10. Often their best player. Should absolutely be in the running for signing of the year, especially considering the small fee. So glad to have him on the team!

on Sangare: it's a lot easier to get better attacking numbers for PSV in the Eredivisie than it is to maintain those numbers at Forest. Being at a worse team relative to the league hurts that a lot.

Endo and Macca arguably are top 5 signings of the season. They have dominated all season and cost around 50 million between the 2 of them 1’s a World Cup winner and 1 is 30 years old. 50 mil for those 2 are a financial master class

As a Bournemouth fan, Kluivert has been much better than Scott. Scott’s got a higher ceiling obviously, but he’s actually not been very good tbh. Shows that stats aren’t everything because no Bournemouth fan would say Scott has been amazing haha. Kluivert is so important to our press and is one of our highest scorers too. Iraola definitely has been our best signing lol.

Feel like the only people who are losing their minds over Szobo, at least Liverpool wise, is just the random ppl that just watch highlights and love fancy tricks etc. I don't think I know or have seen a single Pool fan that doesn't think Macca has been the glue keeping this team together, specially during the injury stretch, but even before/after that. And by expected points, Liverpool are just 2.5 pts behind arsenal, 4 pts behind City and Liverpool has the highest xG in the league, we played with 10 men most of the game against Newcastle, 10 men for 40 minutes against spurs, 25 minutes as 9 men in the same match, if you put all this in context Liverpool being in title race makes sense

I think rating Raya as just ‘fine’ is wrong. Arsenal will probably sell Ramsdale for as much as or more as they bought Raya for, and he has given Arsenal newfound stability at the back, he claims crossses, and we can rely on him for penalties. He’s a significant upgrade over Ramsdale for basically no cost. Brilliant signing.

@@I3lakBladeI think it had to do more with the fact that he was putting so much time into FD that he kind of burned out. He was one of the original faces on FD from the start. He was on Sunday Vibes almost every week for the last 6+ years, he was one of the two main men on stat wars for years, he was running the FD podcast for a few years, he wrote a majority of the scripts for the Top 10 videos, XI videos, and other scripted videos too. He’s probably been showing up here a lot recently because he has no obligation to. He doesn’t have to write scripts anymore, he doesn’t have to run any show, he just has to show up and talk some football
