Hey man big fan! I was curious how you felt about actually subbing the hammer on with the 5th string to just a regular pluck on the 5th then a hammer on and pull of with the next note in the 4th string?

To me, what I'm playing here sounds (essentially) rhythmically and sonically identical to how it is on the EP Quiet, Heavy Dreams that I listen to on Spotify. I guess everyone hears songs slightly differently...

So so so hard for me to finger pick anything and it sound ok. I have tried to grow my rh nails out a bit but I'll wake up in the morning and they're gone where I chew them off in my sleep lol. Crazy. I need to figure something out. Anyone here finger pick with the meat of their finger tips? No nails?
