"The Grass, Trees, and Dew, how I just hate you" is a deeper meaning. He hates seeing the grass, trees, and dew after the hope he had in the "orange" (the sun raising) reveals the grass, trees, and dew, but she hasn't come back yet.

As much as I love Zach Bryan's voice, and his musicianship, and everything else... He's probably the single greatest lyricist I've heard since Bob Dylan. His ability to immediately and effortlessly key into basic human emotion, experience and feeling is incredible. He can just so easily express feelings all of us have had, including and, more importantly RESPECTFULLY key in on how we all feel in our lives is just... Incredible

I really love the way you listen to every word Zach singing and let them touch your soul🙏.

the beauty of this song is it allows some open interpretation and no matter which way you see it, u can FEEL it. The back and forth yo-yoing between hope, anger, hate, love, even mid verse, sunrise, sunset, darkness, headlights...replicate the multitude of emotions and how quickly we can go back and forth between them.

I let the love of my life go for a promotion and I have never felt so much regret in my life. This song broke me down man... I'm here to tell you first hand money doesn't buy you anything of value.

you know the songs good when it has you singing the lyrics before the song has even ended. I could repeat this song over and over and over it’s so beautiful

I just found out about Zach Bryan and I don't really listen to country, but this guy, has GOT me HOOKED! I love Zach Bryan.

This song hits deep. It's a mix of nostalgia with the clips, but the story tears in. Like the clips make you vulnerable to the pain.

Happened to hear this song at a time that it just tore me to shreds. Like you say, you can feel it in his voice.

Lets gooo every Zach Bryan song tells a great story! Hes also been on a roll releasing music this year with around 50 songs dropped. He sure does bless his listeners

Just saw him live last week. He can translate that feeling live as well as he does in the recordings.

We saw him on the first date of the tour in Chicago. I absolutely agree. I can’t believe how good he is at translating that emotion in an arena full of people.

Heavy Eyes, Right Now the Best and The Good I'll Do are really good. Hell the whole album is really! Also his solo acoustic version of Cold Damn Vampires is phenomenal.

Haha, that’s what I’m saying. Every single song he puts out is amazing. He hasn’t released one I don’t love.

He really reminds be of Luke combs in a way. Luke does a phenomenal job about the songs be puts out are songs he can make click or atleast to me. Every one is just good one right after another. Zach does that but on a deeper level. Zach also writes the majority if not all his music. He is a phenomenal artist that is super under rated and under played. Sometimes I think that can help them be true to themselves and their style.
@ComedyBros52 жыл бұрын
@@XxBigDAWG22xX There is a distinct difference between him and Combs. The two cannot be compared. Zach writes all of his songs by his lonesome. Luke co-writes all his music with like, 4 other guys.

@@ComedyBros5 i agree not saying that but saying that everything they touch almost turn to gold instantly

He’s literally the greatest songwriter since bob dylan and John prine , I found this guy before he dropped his first album and literally listen to his songs every other day still , this guy knows how to articulate emotions through sounds , crazy
@ComedyBros52 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! He’s a generational talent and I’m so happy Something in the Orange is giving him recognition! It’s crazy that he doesn’t even want the fame and fortune that comes with his talent.

I am excited to really dig into his stuff. I only have heard this one, and only in this video. Is it all deep and sad? Or does he use the same level of songwriting skill to show other emotions? The consistency of top tier writing skill with applications across possibly all emotions and now even across various music types is why I currently have Hardy solid at the top of my list, but this song got me. I'm so excited to get to hear the album and see if Zach stays in one lane or takes up the whole interstate system.

One of the few modern country songs that will kill you inside. Zach Bryan is great, and you might want to also check out Ian Munsick
