The thing with Edey being a great free throw shooter is that can often translate for bigs into being better shooters. I think even if he rarely takes them if he can be left open at the top of the key and make a 3 then he'll absolutely tear it up. It isn't about if he's actually making them, just that the opposing teams feel like they cant leave him alone out there and to me thats the most exciting thing.
@roboticvenom19352 ай бұрын

I remember watching a video about the draft class after watching a bunch of college highlights a few months ago, and the narrator went over how teams in the league just didn’t seem interested in him. I thought it was absolutely bizarre. He’s clearly a beast. Some conversation about how it wouldn’t translate to NBA basketball. Obviously not completely, but he’s got a lot of potential.

He just showed all those media and so called experts are so stupid. Basketball is basketball. It never changed. NBA teams play less post games now because they don’t have big players, not because the post game suddenly becomes useless or less effective. If Shaq was drafted this year, would those stupid media still say the same? So claiming a 2-time best collage player can’t play NBA is such a stupid nonsense.

The guy averaged 25.2pts 12.2trb 2ast 2.2blk a game in his final year of college, if you don't think any of that will translate to the NBA, I don't know what to tell you. Look at Jaime Jaquez Jr. (and if Edey continues on this way...) I think it's time to stop the "one and done" path to the NBA and go back to guys spending a couple more years developing before they get to the league, so they can come in ready to go. I've said, forever they need at least two years in college, NBA G League, overseas or any combination of the three...

There's definitely an automatic advantage in the post. Not a basketball player by any means but being at 6ft, if I am guarded by someone 5'8 or shorter, I will shoot over them or post them up and know that the most they might be able to do is try to steal or try to guard my vision. Could definitely imagine that on average his opponent being 3-7 inches shorter than him in the post, it will be an automatic mismatch since almost nobody will make him change his mid range hook shot
