one of the biggest problems with comp apex imo is everyone jumps ship after like 1 algs cycle if not quicker than that. It's why TSM and DZ dominated for so long, they built continuity and chemistry together and competed for seasons together. Now everyone just jumps to a diff team and when they don't finish top 5 at LAN they split. It's not conducive to success.

Yea but I feel like pros wouldn't switch if the orgs and EA weren't so disconnected. In alot of other pro leagues orgs put more work and keep people longer. I'd hate to be a pro in apex vs most other esports

They’re kids that spent more time on games than in school and most likely close to zero time socializing. They simply haven’t matured pass high school level and found themselves in a place where everyone is as self-centric as they are and they need to somehow make decisions. And just like most high schoolers when something goes wrong it’s always someone else’s fault or the society is the problem. Part of why TSM did so well is because they can work together despite their differences, Evan and Reps can get pissed off by Hal’s temper but they don’t jump ship because they’re mad, and instead they find ways to live with it while still working towards the same goal

They got 6th in PL and made LAN grand finals. They only did bad because they stubbornly contested. They honestly didnt need to make any roster changes at all.

Zach is one of those people who can never see things outside of their own small thought bubble so he consistently runs around playing victim. I would feel sorry for him except when I remember what he did to Knoqd back on C9 which was the single most braindead, clout-chasing and selfish move I can remember. He then admits to overriding and undermining his coach at finals to disastrous consequences with that bonehead O7 contest. Then to compound the stupidity, he has two teammates who have played amazingly well throughout split 1 and at the very least both deserve loyalty for split two (especially when Zach was the problem at finals and who knows where they could have finished if not for his stupidity). But instead of loyalty he then chooses to chase the shiny new toy (Sikes) just like he did with Abralaile. And now Zaptoh is the problem because he chooses to leave. If I am Zaptoh i'd leave as well. What good is it being on the better team when Zach will use the first opportunity to dump you when the next shiny Free agent toy becomes available? I do feel terribly sorry for Knoqd though who once again is left shafted in his dealings with Zach.

Literally nothing other than monry, unless you are relatively unknown and a large org signs you (i.e. TSM, DZ, NRG, 100T for NA) then you get the benefit of a larger audience exposure. Granted a lot of these orgs will organise sponsors and ads on your behalf, but its nothing you couldnt do on your own
