nah, he's not the new John. he's very very derivative though. it's great John taught him, but Zach needs some time to find his own sound and style. he's still young, it's natural to mimic your idols etc and he's definitely doing great at that. that doesn't take away from his talent, but he's got a ways to go

He plays in 3 bands, he formed a band in 2012 called Irontom, he was invited to be the guitarist of Awolnation since 2015 and since last year he have a parallel project called The Barbarians of California. Zach was here in Brazil opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2023 the whole tour
