Great interview. Dylan I am sure I am not even close to the first person to say you are awesome at interviewing and calling a race. I am new to trail running and couldn’t turn off the western race. Please please please continue to do these 30 post race interviews. It would be really cool to ad video of the race during the interview.

Miller the Sprinter: UTMB 2022: Zach is sprinting to the finish line because a runner is less than a minute behind him. UTMB 2023: Zach is sprinting to the finish line for that sub-20 hour finish time.

The vert focus (that was also true for Jim) came mainly from François d'Haene as a general advice for the US trail runners and it's not a big surprise, it just works. Really happy for both of them to make 1st and 2nd this year.
