Fortunately, most of us cancer survivors have a good sense of humor. She probably appreciated the distraction for a moment. But you should never assume why a woman styles her hair, or shaves it off. I didn't have to shave my head because of cancer, but I've had to nearly shave my hair completely off after a bad stylist wrecked it, first with an over processed perm and then with a horrific cut trying to clear out the perm damage.

Amen! I had a lady stop me for my “disabled parking plate.” She was jumping all over me about how I was walking and had no earthly reason to need a disability plate. What she didn’t know and I certainly showed her the scar from one arm pit to the other from a double lung transplant due to military service. Now, I’m a woman so she saw everything! Then I politely said, “Ma’am you have to be able to breathe before you can walk.” She turned four shades of red and stomped off to her car. Be careful folks when you think you know better than others!

That is something obviously that we all need to point out and stop doing unfortunately this judgment has been pressed upon us for the multiple amount of years an absolutely makes it hard not to be judgmental I do it myself.
