I’m convinced We Can’t Be Friends isn’t about a person but about the media. Don’t want to fuel the fire, let this story die, cling to your papers and pens, don’t love how you paint me, you’ve got me misunderstood but at least I look good. The media constantly attacks her and she wants to feel safe and seen and understood but it’s never going to happen.
@azzyazzy1239 ай бұрын
Yes!! I have been thinking this the whole time! About the media and about people who liked her before the rumours but don’t now because she says she’ll wait for their love, ‘wait till you like me again’… ‘don’t like how you paint me yet I’m still here hanging’.

This interview is so vulnerable and honest. Im not even half way and I love it so much already. Zach is so good and prompting deep conversation whilst being so respectful edit: When I made this comment it was when she was talking about her mum and the song bye. It definitely became a lot more lighthearted later on. I also know that deep topics weren't really covered as she tends to change the topic (I think she also cant say too much bc of wicked promo). She's definitely had interviews in the past that are far more vulnerable. I just think that even coming out to do interviews is putting herself in quite a vulnerable state. Im just glad she has come out and done all these performance, interviews (and the red carpet for the oscars !?) I really didnt think she would do a lot of these things again.

I love her honestly and the fact that she show herself just like she is not pretending to be a person she is it..... She's so funny and cute and honest and we can see the friendship they have..... Like this interview it so much 👏

Have spent 7 years with someone, gotten myself completely drained and exhausted from all the energy i’ve given. I wish so long ago i just stuck up for myself and left and not tried to create something deep down i knew wouldn’t work, and here i am now. I cried so hard while she was talking about bye. i will not see it in a completely different but beautiful view ❤️ and will hopefully learn for myself lol

I love coming back to these interviews. It's kind of like watching multiple seasons of a show back to back; but going through the different eras and what she was feeling during them. I love it but also makes me miss certain eras so much but also happy we have these time capsules to go back.

Ariana is my hero. Role model . I know no one’s perfect 😭. I just survived something really bad, it’s over but I have brain damage now it’s not comfortable trying to remember and learn and trust who I am again and I have such a bad memory now but I’m trying to not forget actually but also let go of whatever I need to forget, and I’m trying to trust humanity again and not be scared of people because of what happened. I want to stay positive, and optimistic, even if I’m more dumb now I’m still going to fight for every day. And fight for a positive beautiful world . I love what she is saying, yes yes yes don’t be afraid to do the right thing and listen to your soul, and there’s strength in saying good bye kindly, there’s also strength in forgiveness .

Ahhhh we are so here and ready for this honest, open healing era. The open crying when acknowledging her feelings. It’s giving ✨clear headspace✨ which soooo many of us become comfortable with in a journey of self discovery. She is a growing, learning, human woman before a celebrity. Here for it all 🩷

Learning the meaning behind these songs not only makes me love them even more, but it makes them so much more relatable. There's so much heart and humanness behind every lyric... so much more than ever before and i'm excited to listen again just carry these small little lessons and the emotions they evoke with in me throughout. There's nothing more fulfilling and moving to music/artistry than that. Beautiful job Ariana. We feel the heart/ rawness in every song and your vulnerability and revelations have given us another way to connect, reflect on love, and relate as a people.

Mmm those last few moments were so poignant and special. This woman is truly something. I'm so proud to have been here all these years later and (in my head) grow alongside her. Thank you, Ari.

2 things. 1) Zach did an amazing job with this interview, capturing the real essence of the artist and really deep dives into the creative process. 2) Ariana is such a pure soul. She’s so talented. She’s so effortless in being humble and human. Great job guys. In love with both of you even more now. ❤

She is so concerned about protecting her private life and also the life of the person she wrote about. I mean we all know it’s about her ex husband but she doesn’t want to speak publicly about him. I get her emotional aspect behind the album. Cried so much even though those feeling for me have long passed. She 100% loved him but it seems like they just weren’t compatible as they once thought and it was just that simple. It hurts her. You can see it in her body language.
