MOS and BVS transcend the genre. In 15 years they will call Snyder a Visionary. He not only makes movies that look like paintings, but they express themselves like paintings as well. No other storyteller like him. But I guess for now he's an idiot because he works out and says, "cool." By the way, comic book writers have been presenting "different" takes on characters for years. Why is not okay to do in movies? "Batman doesn't kill!" He's not a cry baby toddler either, but Gotham does it and it works just fine. Who cares? Have fun and appreciate art.

How did you feel about the answers given or questions not asked? I have watched Zack talk about JL 4 times now and feel like we had an incredible story ripped out from underneath ALL of us (Snyder included). Did you get to say your piece to him at any stage? During the signing perhaps?

The Wayfarer Family I was fine with what was asked during the BvS panel/Q&A. My admiration for Zack and his work is not defined by one film, but his body of work overall and the many excellent films in it. I didn’t attend the event with any expectations or burning need to get any updates about JL because I already know that studio meddling is highly common and if something is going to be announced everyone will find out when it comes. This event wasn’t affiliated with WB so it’s naive to presume that something would’ve happened at it other than what was advertised, TBH. 😆🤷🏻‍♀️ I just wanted to get to ask him questions and to talk to him more if and when I could. I was successful at all of that. 😊✨

Saving Martha helped redeem Batman so he would not let Superman feel damaged like him. Lex wanted history to repeat since he cared little about others and never had motherhood defend him. Liked Batman V Superman.

I honestly cant see the film as an animated movie, but if the cast and crew would come together again to complete the story, and Snyder was on board with warner bros finally giving him one hundred peecent creative freedom, it would probably be the one cinematic story that would surpass The Lord of the Rings trilogy. It's never going to happen. Perhaps all fans can go to the figureheads of WB in a civil manner, and show the support of starting this up again. They probably have a million different things to worry about and micro-manage, so cast should voice it to them. They have power, the cast. Maybe people should ask them constantly. Only a trilogy left but it will take them 7 years if i had to guess. I used to think why don't they do solo movies? But how can you pre-judge a situation where you don't see the whole picture instead of me filtering a segment out. Now knowing what probably will happen in the films, i can see how they thought it was great.

The insinuation that these movies would come anywhere close to LOTR is laughable. I saw a similar comment on another video and cracked up. Snyder was given 100% freedom on both MOS and BVS and failed both times.

Nolan had more control over Man of Steel, and BvS was not Snyder's decision as he originally wanted a MoS trilogy first. Either way it was amazing and Snyder had more control over the latter after he was able to convince Christopher Nolan who had faith in his vision. Neither was a failure as both made a significant amount of profit, BvS had a bad theatrical release because of studio interference, with many critics praising his Ultimate Edition. Had the Ultimate Edition been released instead of the theatrical, it would have easily made over one billion. Easily.

He ensured that the studio heads didn't interfere with MOS, again, according to Snyder. BvS was absolutely Snyder's movie, all the studio did was force him to cut 30 minutes. Not a terribly long time, and certainly not enough to fundamentally change the movie. Aside from pacing issues and some character development, pretty much every flaw present in the theatrical cut is still there in the ultimate edition. "he originally wanted a MoS trilogy first" - That is a flat lie, he has gone on record detailing a 5 film arc starting with MOS, then BvS, and finally JL 1-3. It has never been claimed that he wanted a Superman trilogy first, that's only what Snyder apologists have said to shift the blame for the movies' failures away from him. So once again, you are incorrect. The critics didn't praise anything, the film still has a 28% score. I will say it again, none of the DCEU films, much less Snyder's, will ever be anything close to LOTR, and any claim to that effect shows how woefully ignorant you are. YOU would not understand why.

I totally support the SnyderCut and I'm glad it's finally getting released but hearing him answer some of these questions so immaturely and impulsively kind of explains a lot of why WB tried course correcting so hard during post production.
