Watching the Snyder Cut made me realize that we took George Lucas's independence for granted when he made the Star Wars Prequels. Whatever adjustments he made to them were entirely of his own volition, not because 20th Century Fox wanted him to cut back on Jar Jar.

Dont think anyone will touch his adaptation for a while. I did enjoy the HBO sequel but visually it was really lacking compared to what he did.

@@cyrilmarchand4592 I don't disagree, however he was not fired. Tragically he had a family tragedy that required him to leave set and the studio decided they needed to continue forward without him. They couldn't wait. It is a business after all. So Joss Whedon came in, saw the Snyder cut and thought it was too dark and moody. He ordered reshoots and tried to make it more bright and funny like his Avengers movie. It was awkward, gross and made little to no sense. I'm glad Zack got the opportunity. He and Nolan are completely overlooked for their abilities and both are just trying to tell the stories they find interesting. The best thing we can do is continue to support them by going and seeing their movies. Execs will always act in their own self interests and not in the interests of fans.

Watchmen is a stone cold classic. In years to come, when we look back on the past 15 years, Watchmen will be re-appraised as one of the best hero movies. It's a marvel that he captured so much story so effectively in one movie. Marvel would take 3 movies to do the same job. It's in my Top Three movies of all time. And I, like most here, have seen an awful lot of good movies.

I'll admit, as much as I adore Zack Snyder with all my heart and soul, I used to absolutely despise Sucker Punch. Granted, I've only seen it once in my life, so my exact memory of it is very fuzzy. I'd personally prefer to wait until we finally get to see the official Director's Cut of the film so I can properly assess it.

Like when he called Clark Kent "son" or how he went to underground fight gambling as a rich thrill seeker as a disguise to get info. I also liked the altered unnatural voice as opposed to Nolan's voice choice. The killing I would say was a Zack Snyder choice based on interviews where he's said your naive to think he doesn't kill. But I agree, a killing Batman diminishes there heroism of the character.

It’s my favorite “superhero” movie. Because it shows the dark side of being a superhero instead of glorifying it, which I found to be so refreshing and ahead of its time. Man of Steel and 300 had some of the best fight scenes ever. Watchmen was revolutionary and so iconic.
