In case you don't know, Steppenwolf and Darkseid's voices didn't have much modulation so what you hear is what the actors, Ciaran Hinds and Ray Porter, actually did.

2:49 his speaking voice is between basso profundo and a low baritone. Defaults mostly in the second octave with low drops into the first octave. The effects probably didn't alter that aspect since it's not cartoonishly impossible for some people to speak that low. It did have have a ton of effects. He speaks with a constant growl which isn't sustainable and causes actual damage to the anatomy if done incorrectly or for too long. It also sounds doubled sometimes. It's an impressive space baddy voice. He looks like what he sounds like or vice versa. If anyone is interested in hearing how low bass can drop search for "bass vocalists compilations. Humans hitting the entire 1st octave including inaudible notes. It's nuts.

Victor's anger for his father isnt of hate, his anger IS valid, but it's not hatred. Its because he loves him so much, but he didn't feel or get it from him in return. His father loved him but he didn't show it. Thetes a healing process that has to happen in that kind of relationship. This adventure wasnt a traditional healing process but it was a process. You saw it in Victor & his father's faces when he died.

Nothing was taken out of this movie because this the original version. Anything from josstice league was filmed by whedon, not Zack and is not apart of the original justice league movie.

The main thing I didn't buy in this segment was how easily the Atlanteans got owned. Aquaman is supposed to be more like Superman in water, like bullet fast and extreme strength. As shown at the start of Aquaman he can lift a full size submarine to the surface at high speed with no problem. (or Orm casually tearing through the thicc armor of a sub with his trident, and just shaking off being thrown by the Karathen into a ship) Yet Arthur just gets his ass handed to him by Steppenwolf in his own element. The mother box guards getting dragged to the surface by Parademons also seems extremely sketchy. Even common Atlantean soldiers should be leagues above Parademons in the water, yet they are just dragged up like mere big fish. The Atlanteans are just at low energy mode at best here - save Mera's ultra badass 'gotta catch all the blood' trick. Too many times in this cut it shows superheroes not fighting at their full potential. I do get why obviously - but gimping everyone else just so that resurrecting Superman becomes necessary seems like a huge cop out.
