Love how you said that guy looks menacing, like a Thanos when Thanos was created based off DARKSEID. Also the future scene showing DARKSEID killing Aquaman, his omega beams spell END.

Keep in mind Superman's condition before death in BvS. It explains why his memory was so blank at first. He wasn't just impaled by Doomsday the night he died. He'd also been shot up with Kryptonite by Batman twice, and he'd taken a nuclear warhead to the face fighting Doomsday in orbit. Since his body was already failing by the time he lanced Doomsday with the spear, this was the only condition the Mother Box could restore Superman to. The last thing he did before dying was tell Lois he loved her, and that she was "his world". Her face & their last conversation together was the only memory he had in his head while he was fighting the Justice League in the park. It's why Wonder Woman's lasso of truth didn't work on him- he genuinely didn't know who he was. He stopped fighting when Lois stepped in because she was the only memory he even had in his mind . There's also a narrative purpose for it. Earlier,, Aquaman and Wonder Woman had a quote that no one comes back from the darkness without giving up another in return. Superman didn't start coming around until Silas Stone died.

Lois is the key, right. When Batman is about to kill Superman in BvS, its Lois that stops it. When Superman is about to kill Batman in ZSJL, its Lois that stops him. I love how much Zack ties these movies together. MOS about fathers, BvS about mothers, ZSJL about family. Brilliant!

9:40 Darksied is obsessed with finding and using the anti-life equation. This is a formulae that is key is controlling all life on earth. The Motherbox bends matter to the will of the user. Anti-life bends wills of any and all races. This is what Zack had planned all along. If you see the BvS Knightmare scenes and 52:25, that is what happens with Superman succumbs to the anti-life equation when 'the key' 21:19 is murdered. She is the key 34:53. This was all supposed to come to pass in JL3 #restorethesnyderverse 20:53. Yeah.. that is indeed the future. Bringing back Superman and Flash using the speed force has its consequences. The future has taken root in the present 22:37 15:15 Hehe that's Martian Manhunter, another integral member of the Justice League. He's been staying on earth, peacefully as General Swanwick (the same guy in Man of Steel and BvS. You should rewatch the scene in MoS when Superman walks towards the 2 way mirror. While everyone steps back in fear, the General doesn't. I'd like to think it's because having come from another planet, the Martian Manhunter isn't easily intimidated). I love your reaction! The president of Warner Bros at the time had a bonus coming if the movie was released by a certain date and mandated a 2 hour cut to maximize showtimes for more profits. That’s a part of the story also

lol the alien that visited Lois pretending to be Martha was the superhero Martian Manhunter, who also disguised himself as General Swanwick from Man of Steel and Batman V Superman - Martian Manhunter is a major Justice League hero especially known from the JL animated series. His superpowers are shape-shifting and mind-reading, and equally as strong as Superman. When Bruce said "Barry Allen was right here and said to me 'Lois Lane is the key'" its referring to Batman V Superman scene where Bruce had a vision of the Apokaliptic future. The Apokaliptic future where the world is turned into a desert with fire pits reaching to the sky happens all because Batman failed to protect Lois Lane from Darkseid, and after Superman sees Lois dead then Darkseid mind controls Superman and he turns evil, turning the whole world into the wasteland of the Apokaliptic future. This was supposed to happen in the Justice League sequels, Zack Snyder has shared the sequel storyboards publicly, they're available online. It's doubtful that Snyder will return to make JL2 & JL3, but hopefully WB still follows through to make JL sequels and pay off these plot threads of Darkseid's invasion, corrupting Superman, and the Apokaliptic future (DC fans call it the Knightmare world). This Apokaliptic future is fixed with Flash's time-traveling abilities, Batman saves Lois, and Superman defeats Darkseid with the whole JL - similar to Avengers Endgame.

Joss Weadon and WB ruined Zack snyders work. DC got a bad reputation because of WB. Joss weapon ruined this movie and released it. Lucky Zack snyder came back and finished his work and gave us this awesome movie.

Man, at least you got to watch Whedon cut first and then Snyder cut. I watched the Snyder cut first and then watched Whedon cut. My eyes burn because of that red filter during the final battle 😭 Also if you like the darker tone of dc, you should see Watchmen. It's a standalone movie directed by Snyder as well :)

Actually it was not Zacks decision to make JS at that time. But WB wanted to compete with Marvel with Marvel's Avengers movie that's why they made Zack Snyder rushed things out. Zack was actually against it because most of the characters are not yet explored nor introduced to the DCEU. But it was not his call by the end but WB. Also WB didn't release this version because first Zack Snyder haven't finished editing the movie yet and was replaced by Joss Whedon(a lot of reshots and CGI was bad). Second, it is a 4 hour movie(not really suitable for cinema at that time). And third Zacks needs to attend and mourn for his daughter. All things considered, this movie was an apic for me. Also, DC going forward has a bit good reputation with their Shazam, Aqua Man, "The" Suicide Squad, Peace Maker and a decent one recently Black Adam. So looking forward for DCs future.

It was a 3h movie actually. Zack had already felt the bad blood from the then WB execs and just decided to shoot everything he wanted to show the fans, including where the next movies would go, so he shot EVERYTHING he wanted to just in case he was never invited back to finish his full story. He shot all the future stuff JUST IN CASE. It paid off for him because WB DID fuck him over in the end. If WB doesn't let him finish the Darkseid story it would be CRAZY!

Great reaction. Quality movie. Shame we're unlikely to get any more of that story. What was going to happen next was Darkseid eventually arrives and finds and uses the anti life equation to bend superman's will after killing lois, but making him think Bruce did it. The apocalyptic future happens and batman has to form a new team to get the equipment needed to send flash back in time again, like in BvS, but at a different time with a different message to Bruce. It's a travesty we'll never see it realised.

Loved hour reaction. There are so many significant differences between the trash Josstice League and ZSJL, but here’s one big one. Batman in Josstice League was pretty much useless and constantly taking swipes and belittling the other JL members. Just go back and watch it over again-he spends the entire movie making snide remarks and passive aggressive insults. In ZSJL, Batman is a leader who also realizes he’s the least powerful. But he still does his best to contribute. This really comes across when the JL attack the base. Batman hints that he is going to sacrifice himself to ensure the other JL members can get in the base to stop Steppenwolf. He knows he will be mostly useless so decides the most value he can bring is enduring the other team members get into the base. He nearly succeeds in sacrificing himself but then the other JL team members come to his rescue. In that moment, they become the true Justice League. All this was missing from the jokey Batman in Josstice League. Really shows how Zack Snyder really understood who the characters were while Joss Whedon was only interested in writing corny jokes.

A quick history on this:- This whole movie was shot and completed in 2016. Zack's Daughter committed suicide (Don't know the reason) After the tragedy, zack left WB but in reality, they used that as a reason and fired him and Geoff johns brought joss Whedon(Avengers director) and intentionally changed the whole movie almost 90% of the movie got changed and reshot at that time. The DOP of Justice league said that we only saw 10% of zack's footage in the theatrical cut and everything was reshot. Then came #ReleaseTheSnyderCut Campaign. Fans fought almost 3 years to bring Snyder into the limelight. Done a lot of donations to American suicide prevention org. Organized campaigns in almost all comic cons since 2017 to raise the awareness of the Snyder cut. On November 17 2019 Release the Snyder Cut hashtag is been on trending straight for a week. Cast and crew and other celebs came into the support of the cut by tweeting the hashtag. After that huge impact On May 20th, 2020 they announced that Snyder cut is finally going to get released on HBO MAX. Everything u saw was shot and completed in 2016. Some WB executives and joss Whedon deliberately butchered his vision and also brought toxic nature to the sets like they used to make fun of zack's vision which is why ray fisher(Cyborg Actor) claimed recently in twitter that Joss Whedon was gross and promoted toxic behavior on sets who was enabled by Geoff johns and Jon berg. And now Officially Warner media is investigating them. There is still a lot of story regarding the Snyder cut on how others copied zack's screenplay stuff etc just look anywhere on social media u will definitely find it.😁🙂

The first one was ruined by the studio zack snyder was almost done shooting the movie then his daughter died so he stepped back to be with his family. The studio brought in joss whedon to finish it and make it 2 hours with no extra money and no extra time to make adjustments they forced him to a date and budget that wasn't going to work so he did his best for what it was by that standard its good but they cut so much out that needed to be told that it hurt the flim

Zack snyder 's daughter died, so had to leave shooting still he had completed the flim just editing work needed. As Zack was gone, WB (aka actual enemy of DC) brought Joss the director of 1 avengers movie. So WB ask Joss to make Justice league like avengers type funny and colorful movie and joss came with 2017 Justice league.. Actually this Justice league snyder cut was supposed to be the real Justice Movie... The number of reasons why Snyder fans hate the 2017 version go beyond just the movie itself… tons of BTS drama. But, you do you. Glad you did watch this one. All the visions Bruce is having are of Darkeseid acquiring the anti-life equation and controlling Superman after Lois is killed in an alternate future. BvS had a connected scene. Also, the Martian Manhunter is the General from MoS and BvS. But seems you haven’t seen those in a while. Sadly it seems not even after this version was successful, WB/DC won’t continue the story about Darkseid and the League. They don’t want to bring back Snyder to finish this story. (If curious, the only “new” scenes are 1)when Martha transforma into the Martian and 2)the epilogue scene of the future visison. Everything else was shot back in 2017)

We didn't know anything yet because Snyder is still in Netflix, he only free in 2025. My frustrations with James Gunn and David zavlav is they refuse to do continuity for this movie for example Deathstroke origin story and batman vs Deathstroke is what Snyder plans after this movie. Instead they planning to soft reboot with Shazam and black Adam.....

I would like it so that it's Martian Manhunter from the future through Barry's time portal, that tethered through Bruce's mind and is showing him things from the future. Have it so that may be only Martian Manhunter's head remains from a fight with Superman and he's just in orbit acting as a satellite of sorts
