The entire film is fantastic. The visuals, the story, the characters, the quiet moments, the emotional moments, the action, the themes, the score, the performances, all make MOS a masterpiece. The film came out 11 years ago, and it is still being talked about. Like it or not, love it or hate it, for a film to make audiences have discussions for more than a decade, it means it made an unforgettable impact in pop culture. It's the first time that a film humanized Superman. Sure, he stood for truth, justice, and the American way, and he always was a symbol of hope. But, MOS explored a character who had fears, insecurities, a man in search for his place in the world. Everyone can relate to that. James Gunn has proven, with the fiasco that was his first official image of Superman, that he is not up to the task to make a Superman film. Heck, he proved with his Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, and The Suicide Squad, that he's a director by committee, a man whose writing and direction, are shaped by what he hears from pop culture, and don't even get it started on his terrible childish jokes, that sound like they were written by an angsty 12-year-old. Just look at his "idea" for a Superman suit, and the biker gang with colorful jackets that he turned C-list DC characters into. Cosplayers have done a better job than the bs he's doing. Don't even mentioned the fact that he casted his brother for Maxwell Lord, as well as his wife, for his movie. And, the fact of the matter that he has more than 20 characters in just one movie, and nobody is bashing him for it, when Zack Snyder was criticized for showing 3 DC characters in BVS, it shows the bias people have for Gunn.
