This is now a New Zealand anthem - Maori know the words but many, many non-Maori also. It's for everyone...

Hiya Zack. There will be a warm welcome for you in NZ when you become a farmer and surfer here.😂 Six60. is one of my favourite groups and I'm so happy you reacted to this one. All their NZ fans know the words by heart. We love this group so much.❤❤❤❤

Proud to be a New Zealander, the rich Māori culture is a huge part of our identity, whether you are Māori or non Māori - we feel the spiritual essence within us and it is something very special. Our country is beautiful, we have a beautiful culture and beautiful people, very blessed

@@MichaelPassmore-br2mrawww wow! I was born in Dunedin! I live in in North Canterbury/South Island hahah you never know we could be related lol!!! You should come and bring her home….. what a home coming that would be. It’s a wonderful place, as is Australia, two very distinctive countries in their own right. Living is about experiencing adventures, taking chances, closing your eyes and just buying a ticket! Sometimes “tomorrow” or “one day” never arrives. I really hope you do make the journey home, your part kiwi :) ❤it’s a very spiritual place and I think you may learn a lot about yourself.

I had an Australian cuzzy come over for a Holiday once & we just so happened to have a makeshift boomerang. We were mucking around at the park & of course testing out ol boomerang, Cuzzy reckons "Oh Wow this is my first time ever holding a boomerang " 😅 Not us looking at him all dumbfounded like .....🤦♀️

Here we go down another Kiwi rabbit hole? 🤔. Six60 are probably NZ's biggest band with so many bangers.. Lost ft Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (On Vimeo 360P) Rest Of You Up There Closer Don't Give It Up White Lines Forever Vibes etc... ... Given your recent reactions to Stan's music and now this Six60 track, I get the impression you're more interested in the cultural aspect of NZ music. Maisey Rika - Tangaroa Teeks - Whaakaria Mai (How Great Thou Art) Stan Walker - New Takeover

We over here tryna fight for our culture, we're also proud of our culture. The governments is trying to ban our language, our Māori, they literally have a bill for it. That's why it's so powerful.

I support the te reo Māori version of The Treaty of Waitangi, te Tiriti o Waitangi - our founding document , which was signed by the over 500 rangatira Māori - a deal that agreed to a partnership with the British Crown, which should have been adhered to with respect. Yes we understand the lost in translation excuse, but a deal is a deal and if that means that I as a Pākehā has less rights than Māori then so be it. I embrace the Māori culture and language and I welcome it into the everyday life of all New Zealanders. ❤
