I really like how this works. Bees are relatively peaceful insects. They know that their stingers are suicidal moves, thus they usually never attack you. The only 2 contexts in which they attack you are either if you are a "threat" to their hive (e.g. you get too close, or y'know just smack it with a stick, stuff like that) or if you actively try to attack them. And their only response is to attack you back. Of course, they don't know we aren't gonna die by their stings, so the only thing they do is sacrifice their lives to kill the threat. Truly an honourful insect.

Not always the case. I've been stung twice in my car because they latched onto my shirt or something. On one instance, I got stung on my arm when I lowered it to my lap and apparently made contact with it since it was (I think) on my pants. The other instance though, it stung my arm while holding the wheel, no aggressive movement or anything, it just stung me.
