Jeez, I am truly flattered almost to the point of being embarrassed . . . but really, thank you so much!
Such a wonderful visit to a bookstore I most likely will never get to visit. I love that a young man borne into the trade is curious enough to film the store his heritage had started. Wonderful! Thank you soo much.

When someone tells me to go to my happy place, never a beach & always an old library or bookstore. I grew up in our county library. I am almost 51 & NOTHING makes me happier then the smell of old literature; the sight of old maps w/ places that no longer exist, hearing the spine cracking open; touching the old paper between my fingers. A sensory paradise! ❤

Wow that's beautiful. I can only imagine all the cool art in those old books.. World war history.. and so on. I will DEFINITELY stop by when I'm in New York. You must have a blast hanging out there after it closes down just browsing through history and reading material. Not to mention the smell of those old books is like nothing else.

This is what is so great about KZbin: highlighting treasures, and in my case reminding me of what I have been missing. I’m embarrassed to say, and I speak as a lover of books with what I would call is a decent book collection, that I’ve been to NY nearly 20 times and visited Argosy books once.

The packed bookshelves reminds me of working in Southern Music Company. "One of the biggest challenges is getting it all cataloged and on the internet." Yep. We went through that with the sheet music at SMC. I don't think they ever did get it all cataloged. I wish you all the best in that endeavor.

I know this comment is a few years late into the game as I have only found your videos two years ago in 2020 as I have said before- I not only love baseball, but I love history, bookstores and over the years of my life from when I was young I would not only get lost in bookstores for hours, but libraries too as well. I love books and still collect books- Argosy has been added to my bucket list of places I want to visit someday.... I saw the video on my side of stuff to see- and I HAD to do it- because I love books, history, Americana and also artifacts that go back centuries.
