UPDATE: Kingsisle recently made changes to the fish in both Aero Village and the Sky City Estates. The Blackberry Jellyfish is now a MUCH rarer spawn and has been effectively replaced by new fish spawns including the Fire and Ice School Fish. This makes farming Blackberry Jellyfish a much more time consuming and resource intensive activity and I can no longer recommend it as a quick and easy option for gold or mega snacks. This choice from Kingsisle is incredibly disappointing and I hope they consider reverting the changes soon to allow for more player choice and accessibility when it comes to in-game resources.

I’m holding off on this simply because I’m waiting for the new test realm to go live because there’s a new boss who should drop rat spin spellements, making him the best new way to get the spell depending on the drop rate. If you buy the golden wheat bread recipe and need the fish, go to the aero village and do fishing spell that removes all fish but rank 2 then every fish you catch is the one need.

Been gardening for mega snacks since couch potatoes started dropping in GH, catching several double gardening events before KI stopped the double seed drop. Now i have 960 couch potatoes and still get the ocassional drop when farming. 480 DHE and nearly 4000 emps. Nearly all are sitting at elder across 6 characters at multiple houses.

Great guide! Fun fact though jesters has said that the reason they give away mega snack packs is cause they are one of the most popular items in the crown shop. Makes sense when you realize only ~11% of people garden. Also if you ever need a gauntlet feel free to hmu I have them all.

I also found that harvesting plants during double gardening is really good, it not only gives double the snacks, but also double the seeds back. The only annoying thing is waiting

You can get double snacks from double gardening but they changed it last year so that you can no longer double your seeds anymore. Real bummer.

Prickly Bear Cactus plants are great getting rank 8 snacks. They have a chance of dropping at mature and elder harvests and drop extra seeds too. They can be bought for gold in the Bazaar. Additionally you can sell the smaller rank snacks they drop for gold to help fund hatching costs. Oh and you can harvest twice per day, IIRC was roughly about 8 hours apart. Another plant I used to grow before i had lots of Couch Potatoes was growing stacks of Cornbread Fruit Bush. They give a 20% drop rate for Golden Wheat bread snacks at elder. They are also available for gold. I also used multiple wizards to help garden so my main had energy to train, while they kept me snacks. Each wizard only needs to be level 12 for gardening.

Those are great alternative options if for some reason you can’t access plants like Couch Potatoes! Unfortunately they don’t make my list since they don’t guarantee a mega snack or a replacement seed upon harvest. Definitely useful if you’ve got a stockpile of them though and want to plant them to see if you get lucky.

@@Zaepha PBC drops so many seeds you'll be selling the extras. From a stack of 69 I'd guess I used to get about 4 rank 8 snacks per mature harvest( can't recall if I got more than that at elder), might have been more but it was so many years ago now.

I haven't gotten a pet to Mega using Rank 1 snacks, but I have gotten 2 pets to Epic using rank 1s. The trick is to keep making new wizards, and using the energy from each rank up to train it.

You should add that, while blackberry jellies do spawn in the Aero village, they ONLY spawn in the back pool, not just mostly. Also, doing winnow rank 2 will always guarantee that the remaining fish, should there be some, are gonna be the jellies

I can't belive I used to buy mega snack packs. Now I just farm the ghultures in Mirage. I avoid burnout by limiting my farming time to half hour a day. That's how I got 168 couch potatoes. Of course, caring cor that many plants requires energy gear and an energy pet.

I just use the winterbane respawn glitch in the lowest tier winterbane on the fight where you have to make the stew. You can kill them in one round and sometimes they even drop 2 level 8 mega snacks

I supplement my CPs with maelstrom snap dragons that can be bought for gold in Nordrilund or in the Blind market, with 69 at elder I get 19 Mystic dragon fruit snacks, they drop strom TC's and jewel reagents, plus other snapdragon seeds, I sell all that to get more MSD's.

Honestly if you’re going to buy a mega snack pack, just stop and instead buy a couch potato or evil magma pea from the crown shop instead because it’s a continuing resource that you’ll always have (even though I recommend farming for couch potatoes but if you were going to buy a pack, a plant is always a better buy imo)

I would LOVE it, if you could do a quest to change out 1 talent for a pet for another. I have tried to hatch an enchanted armament over 150 times ( i think 172 to be precise) and still got a failure of a pet at ultra. Just 1 talent different would have been great.

For magma peas, actually you can drop them at bosses at Avalon. I dropped two magma peas when questiong through it. I don't think every boss drops it, but all I remember is that the first one I got is from that owl, in the tower when you save that fucking unicorn.

This post is for anyone who comes here to learn about catching Blackberry Fish: They nerfed Aero Village which I own and the Sky City Estate, and you can't catch blackberry fish there anymore. getting a pet to mega is possible with rank 1 snacks. when i first started playing with pets i didnt understand how pets lvling worked so i just bought 800 ish of the cheapest snack i could find and just used all my energy and all those snacks everytime i have full energy to train my pet. i dont know if this still works with the pet changes since i stopped playing for a while but it used to!!

There used to be a way to glitch into housing tour houses and use gauntlets inside without having to be friends with the owner, but idk if it’s patched or not. If you intend on trying it, I would just google how to do it, but do so at your own risk lol I have never personally done it since it kind of violates TOS.

I didn’t exactly use mega snacks too get my pet too ultra, I used what I earned throughout questing and gear farming and I ended up creating as I played through (I did constantly rehatch when I had a failed pet starting off with a ghulture from the kiosk.) and ended up getting a triple damage double resist pet with a mighty opal. Stats are not maxed but its it’s good enough for me and shows it’s possible to do it without huge xp snacks. But man I wish… oh how I wish I used XP snacks tho FARM MIRROR LAKE FOR PIXIE STICKS 😂😂

Right now your best bet is to farm loremaster and pray you get a lucky drop or try to trade for the rat spin TC and craft it when you can. If you wait for test realm to come out though there will be a new boss in Grizzleheim you can fight for rat spin spellements. I’m waiting for that honestly.

Unfortunately, Kingsisle changed the drop rates in the last few months so it’s much harder to get the jellyfish there now. A lot of people have been really upset by the change.
