Takeaways 📚 Change your mindset about learning: Instead of learning topics one by one, focus on understanding the interconnectedness of subjects and learn related topics together to build a strong foundational knowledge. 🔍 Scope and group related topics: Review your syllabus and identify topics that are related, then group them for collective study to enhance understanding and retention. 🗓 Prioritize skimming and mind mapping: Before class, skim each topic to get an overview and create keywords for a mind map, which will help in organizing the information in a memorable way. ✍ Convert information into recall questions: During class, transform lecture content into questions to facilitate self-testing and deeper understanding of the material. 🎯 Focus on key concepts during class: Ignore excessive details and concentrate on the main concepts and processes, building upon the foundational knowledge you've already established. 🔗 Link new information to the mind map: Actively connect new class material to your initial mind map to reinforce learning and create a comprehensive understanding of related topics. 📝 Review and revise with recall questions: After class, use the questions you created to test your knowledge and identify areas that need further study or re-linking to your mind map. 🚀 Utilize the 'lazy' method when pressed for time: If you can't follow the full method, at least skim the material before class, create questions during class, and build a mind map after class to ensure you're still absorbing and retaining information effectively. 🔄 Continuously revise and refine: Use spaced repetition and regular review sessions to reinforce learning, adjusting and improving your mind maps and recall questions as you go. 🤖 Sponsored mention: The script includes a mention of Consensus AI, a tool that can assist with research and academic writing by providing access to a vast array of scientific papers and data. 💡 Final advice: The most important takeaway is to link multiple related topics and study them together to maximize learning efficiency and comprehension.

I thought I was leaning actively until this weekend, when I was unable to answer questions from courses I had seen a month ago. It's 3 weeks prior my final exam and I started to be so demotivated. Luckily I found your video yesterday, and in this morning's class - which seems hard and complicated to me - I started to make connections with the knowledge I'd acquired over the last few weeks and thought I'd forgotten. It's really a new habit to have that will change the way I work! I can't thank you enough, I hope it pays off. 🤩

If you can't remember your mindmap ur doing it weong It supposed to be streamlined, 'neat,' not a lot of information, and has to link together cohesively Think of it as how you want it to be explained to you, basics to complexities, in one way Justin sung explains it really well

Firstly, thanks for the amazing content, your techniques helped me score the highest in my grade in English, political science and economics. i am highly grateful to you and your incredible strategy and tips. can you pls make a video on balancing studying for competitive exams (like NEET, JEE, CLAT, etc.) and high school exams (CBSE Boards in India). Again, thanks for being a source of inspiration and dedication for me. Lots of love and best wishes, Haaniah.

Zain bhaiya i am studying for iit jee and my 1st exam ia in jan. And i had seen ur videos to prepare bt everytime i get confused that how can i skim the chapters whom i am not known even the single word? And can i complte my 11th and 12th syllbus till nov. End? If yes how can i ? I am unable to understand how to apply all ur study tachniques in our prep? It looks like impossible or how to do? And one more thing to ask . I see the lecture ..make notes... understand fully... then the next day when i think to revise i feel like i dont know anything and then when i read it through it feels i know it. Bt then i become restless and unable to study. That i had put in my efforts on this and as a result it seems like i dont know anything and then my complete day just go as a waste . I want to study bt i am unable to . It feels like timewaste to study as it makes me know that no matter what i study bt i wont bw able to remember it. And the tips u tell to remember for longer is that write down topic ... subtopic ... skim it ....bt how can we do? I mean how a non med chapter can be done . For that we need to know deeply abt it. And being jee aspirant we need to know more deeply abt it. Pls make it clear how to do? Everything is just jambled up!

I don't how to skim. It takes so much time for me 😞
@zain_asif3 ай бұрын
Without reading the actual full sentences, read the bolded words on the page, the headings, understand the structure of the chapter. Maybe watch a quick video. The idea behind skimming is just doing a very basic overview. Hope that made sense.
@kinryu62773 ай бұрын
when you say study several topics together, do you mean skim and find how they are related before getting into details of every single one? Otherwise, there's no way I'll be able to go over 500 pages in one sitting, never mind two hours >
@zain_asif2 ай бұрын
Yeah ofcourse skimming 3 related topics or small chapters, figure out how they're related. And then study them !
