Difference between migration and exodus. Exodus is a forced mobilization of people for not being able to live in their original place anymore. Migration is just voluntarily moving away from it yet being able to return. Veloth got tired of the lack of religious freedom and chose to leave and get his own home, and a lot of likeminded people followed him.

More reason to dislike the Nords, I mean some are okay, but still. Yay!! I started out loving the Nords before my second playthrough of Skyrim where I actually listened and read lore. I was a Stormcloak who was all about Skyrim for her people and Talos was a great god who deserved his place amongst the 9. Second time I played an Altmer, again always did like them, who listened to what the Stormcloaks and Ulfric was like, became an Imperial, Skyrim belongs to the Falmer should they ever gain some of their Ancient harmony back, and found out Talos was a liar, murderer, and even a necromancer. Yeah, I had such a hard 180 I'm surprised it didn't break my neck.

I've just stopped to think and I know many people may have come to this conclusion before, but... As much as people talk about Morrowind (and the dunmer) being full of racists, Skyrim isn't much better. The Nords are racists against High Elves (just elves in general at any point), Khajiit (who can't even enter the cities), Argonians (who are forced to work the docks) and, of course, Dark Elves (who are forced to live in a slum). And, hear me out now, though there aren't any quotes outrightly saying it, Nords don't like Imperials, Redguards or Breton's either. I say Skyrim is just as much racist as Morrowind, from what I've seen so far.
