V and B hop style buckings have been known to outperform r hop. They have 2 contact points to r hops 1. Couple peeps working on videos for comparing, paragon armory has seen some nutty stuff in his unofficial testing already!

@@awesomeonejpone4920 yeah I'd love to try them in my own build but I've had incredible results with my 6mm extended Rhop patch. (Standard hop surface is 4mm) I've shot a gun with the 60° macron and it didn't perform as good but was extremely close but could've just been the gun. I'm curious to see how it compares apples to apples

@SourpatchAirsoft v an B hop bucking examples are pdi w hold, aisoft mutations b hop, and the new firefly lineup. While the maple leaf autobot and mr buckings have pretty good results, they can't compete with a dual contact patch bucking. Yeah! My brother has got an ER in an aeg and we've also seen further, flatter shots than maple leaf buckings (our previous go to)

@@awesomeonejpone4920 I guess time will show, I dont know, but doing my test im sure I will find out what things are best, or get closer to it, I do rly freaking love my r-hop and i used a LOT of setup's - everyone who buys my setup says they havent used anything as good as that so yeah it's hard to say.

Kaslab, you are always supposed to take the nub and arm off the hop unit when installing your barrel and bucking 🤣

I always did in normal hop units, but it’s stuck in the m4w.. and always fit flawlessly before 🤣 but your right I was being lazy, but still a valid point to prove the nub must’ve been changed in the new 🤷‍♂️

@@kaslab 👍🏽. Ive been teching for about a year now, ive built a 40rps SSG (actual chrono results are 38.75RPS). Hopups are definitely the most finicky part of an entire build. My hopup was barely misaligned and it would shoot to the left every time, then after carefully going through it again i was able to get it to shoot straight once again. Easiest way to deal with the hopup is to pull the wheel off of the unit, then remove the arm and nub. When putting back together, put arm and nub in (after barrel and bucking has been inserted) then place wheel back on. Almost all hopups have an o-ring that the wheel rotates on to adjust the hop, so it should just pull right off.

yeah 100% this is how I have always done it, but I got lazy with the maxx m4w mtw hop unit since the bucking fit in and the nub is glued in so it dont fall out.. but yeah I learned what happens when your lazy now ;D

My setup: MTW MK18 DD with SI Alpha, S macaron blue(same), PDI 6.08 407mm, SI Black nub and tensioner. I'm having better results than you it appears? What barrel do you use? In previous youtube movies, you mentioned 6.01 R hop? Want range, buy a PDI 6.05 or 6.08, if you have a big HPA tank you can try 6.15 ;)

Hey Min, First off I want to give you the best response I can to your comment, so we gotta set a few baselines. The only way to compare your setup to mine, is using the same jules and bb weight under the same circumstances, or it's just impossible. you say you run a PDI 6.08 407mm that have no effect on your range or accuracy, only thing a "long barrel does is you can push your jules higher" Also since its a PDI barrel it's got a "better polish then most brands" but still its very minimal what it does for your accuracy. I myself do "not" use macaron blue. My setup is: maxx m4w with flat nub, since I run r-hopped umbrella armory eu barrel, that's 6.05 and 416mm, only thing that effects my accuracy and range in that is the hop unit and the "r-hop patch". you also write ("- "Want range, buy a PDI 6.05 or 6.08, if you have a big HPA tank you can try 6.15 ;) - ") this is a false statement getting a PDI barrel is just not "magic" its the nub that helps with the spin of the bb, not the barrel, since this is airsoft and not real steel, the barrel does not have rifling in it, so that does not effect anything. edit: also 6.15 barrels are WIDE BORE and they're worse, wolverine did a long video on this where they show as long as its not super wide bore barrel it dosent matter, but "6.15" is considered super wide borre, so it's just bad. ( I have around 15 different barrels, very cheap ones to expensive ones, the common nominator that matters is the bucking you use) the barrel in it self does almost ZERO difference, a decent polish in a 20 bucks barrel will do the same as a decent polish in a 100 + bucks PDI barrel, its all the same, its just branding that's it) I wanted to make a video about this, but that's something for the future maybe. I am working on a video where I compare "ALL" the hop units for the mtw, wolverine cnc hop, wolverine plastic hop, wolverine phoenix, maxx m4w, alpha hop units, with a bunch of setup's its taken around 5k bb's to find the right setup's, but that's a video I will release in the future, and I am very sure you will be surpriced with the video results. I hope I answerd your questions if not just ask again, anyways I hope it helps!

@@kaslab First off, I do love your testing :) I'm getting great results with a 6.08 PDI barrel at 1.7J, In your test I saw a lot of BB sway off, I don't see that with my setup. The ranges are the same, and I do know your tests are not apples-to-apples comparisons. But I just noticed my groupings at those higher ranges were better. I did my test with a standard MTW barrel(285mm, 6.05), and seeing the same as yours, more sway on the BB, I needed to micromanage my hop not to sway. So in my experience, a wide bore does have an influence on the range. I also saw the wolverine clip about that, I do feel they need to update it? Testing this with MAXX or SI. Just my 2 cents

Did not test the 6.15, a little PDI thing there because there statement is, made for HPA and for range, so I could be wrong on that.

@@MinM1337 honestly I dont know, I had a lot of wind the day 15 m/s and it change directions a lot that day, normally I feel like my bb's fly WAAY more accurate, but I can't say I had not used my airsoft replica in 8 + weeks, so I just took it off the shelf.. The next video I will be making I will be making sure everything is perfect before I do the ultimate hop unit testing video.

Did you try to Clip in the barrelclip with the macaron installed? I tryed several buckings and barrels but I ned lot Force to push the barrel in the unit so that the clip can be installed.

Making airsoft accuracy test videos are quite useless because you would need very controlled test environment to accurately measure any gains or losses. It is like kick to the balls. Sure it hurts but it is very hard to tell if the next kick was more painful.

Its a range test I’m not measuring “accuracy “, and its not useless its very easy to see the difference between setups, in this video its not as apparent when Its same hop units, I have other test videos where I use different buckings and hop units and there its a very easy to see the differences in between. But I appreciate the feedback, if I was to make a video of what’s most accurate and make it 99,99% accurate I would need to put the gun in a hold and do it indside so no wind effects it. All I can do is try my best 🤷‍♂️

No way, could you prove? Never seen an AEG at 1.15J shoot that far. I have 10 AEG's, even fully upgraded with 11.1V at 1.2J, 40-45m max distance.

@@MinM1337 there's a video on my channel of me shooting 220ft at 1.15J with .40g BBS with a DSG that has a 179mm 6.01 inner, my custom designed nub (AirsoftMutation nub) and maple leaf MR 70d. Those shots were with a decent flat flight path with essentially 0 overhop, I was standing up with 0 scope, 0 iron sights just a flat top upper receiver.

​@@FrozenByFire3 I saw your movie, like common, you are shooting up. Flat you will make 45m, even an MTW at 1.2J will outperform you on range. My brand new SA H11 with 11.1 bat, SI Hop up, S macaron pink + ML nub, PDI 6.01 300mm barrel hits max 45m flat. For me flat means max 10% elevation, you are shooting at 30-40% elevation in your movie and claiming 70m, no shit. Then all the MTW DMR setups will be at 100m. Your DSG setup is one I'm jealous about, but It's forbidden to use on our fields :( Flat, 10% elevation, 70-80m is the max and I only saw MTWs(HPA in general) do it or spring snipers at 2.3J

@@MinM1337 I'm shooting to clear the opening, the BBS are landing significantly higher than my position. That dark spot is higher than the thing I'm shooting. Which actually, I would have an increase in range if I was shooting flat because the BB wouldn't have to go against gravity as it flies through the air. I don't need you to tell me I can't shoot 45m. If you want, I'll take another video, but you're gonna have to wait a few weeks. 45m is nothing. If your gun shoots 45m flat, it's because it ain't shooting right.

IF you want to upgrade it, I strungly reccomend maxx m4w hp unit and umbrella armory EU r-hop barrel + bucking.. I use this is all my guns, if you use code (KASLAB) on umbrella website you'll save money.. (and no I dont make money from it) And remember heavy bb's is the way to go if you want to use the 308 I guess you want to be DMR, so heavy bb's + umbrella armory EU R-hop is amazing..
