@@Zaldaingerous Even in the shade bass would still be hot in the summer. Probably very few shallow. I wondered the same thing on the sabine was any of the pros fishing offshore? Badass video! Down here, if it looks good just fish it. It’s more of finding which areas have life as opposed to running a pattern. Most times, if you can find just a couple of good areas you’re getting bit in, just stick with it because they’re usually reloading daily. 😎 -Charlie from Puglias, New Orleans

Even with a double palomar knot you are suppose to pull the mainline tight only, it will pull the tag end down to almost nothing. Considering most frogs are only 3 1/2"-4 1/2" you aren't losing much on a spool that holds over 90+ yards of braid.

Pro tip - Chunk a moving bait till you get a bite. Then circle back and hit those stretches with a soft plastic. Easy peasy. Most cypress trees are worthless. Mark the ones you get bit at on gps. They are the only ones worth hitting again. A pattern will also emerge with them.

Do you have any tips on switching to left-handed reels?.. I'm right-handed and I work the rod with my left hand and reel with my right hand.. always cast with my right arm.. and then have to switch the rod over into my left hand.. I've been thinking of buying a few left-handed reels to try to force myself to fish right handed and reel left-handed!! You got any advice? Because in theory and in your head it sounds so much more logical to use your stronger hand and you're stronger arm to fight the fish and to set the hook.. but I started throwing a baitcaster when I was like 9 or 10 years old and I never transitioned into reeling with my left hand except for spinning setup's!! Which I have no issues doing which is weird..
@Zaldaingerous Жыл бұрын
My only tip is just to buy them and force yourself to learn. It’ll feel weird at first but you’ll eventually get used to it. My wife uses right handed reels but casts with her left hand and keeps the rod in her left
