This is truly an ELITE level podcast - Real feelings, real ideas, and real people. I admire the Zaldaingerous one immensely because even when things aren't going well, he represents his sponsors well and always gives the appearance of positivity, plus the "if I go down, I'm going down with the Swim bait locked on" mentality will eventually pay off in a Big Trophy!! Thanks to "The Bilge" for keeping us bass needs entertained and informed!

Yes, Gerald is a great fisherman but he has never been a closer. Yes 2 AOYs is great thing but he never won getting there. Never a Classic! Gerald thinks more of himself than the media ever thought of him. He always holds himself in the highest esteem and never dogs anyone by name but dogs them by association. G Man deserves respect but no more than all those publicly belittles in his little tirades. He couldn't make it in the BFL so they can't be all that. No Gerald, you ain't all that, nuff said.

G-Man’s take on the rules is spot on! Any result of any sporting event should be determined by the skill of the participants. Pure fishing skill, interpreting electronics, boat control, knowledge of you boat (i.e.: fuel consumption running to remote areas), reading current conditions and adapting to them.

Omg we need more G men!!! Being a southern man myself, hearing him talk about complete focus on goals and working for them with all you can muster, really hooks with me. And I think he hooks with most people who listen to him. His life and journey to fishing for a living is so relevant to achieving ANY success in ANY profession. A damn fine man that has done so much for our sport. One of the biggest inspirations I can think of is the one and only…G Man. God Bless you brother. Congratulations on 24!

Charles has been editing it live using a switcher which is allowing everything to edit in real time instead of Trait going back and doing it one camera at a time in post. Been huge for us. We added another light for the Hackney podcast that goes up tonight to hopefully help with the hat shadows without ruining the overall lighting.

I'm 30 minutes in and this is a cool conversation, great guest and the insider perspective is solid. The guest will help you understand how things are way different for people depending on their particular situation and time. Excellent. 38:00 Discussing governance. I haven't heard you mention transparency. I think the fans deserve to know how stuff is controlled and dealt with and that the organizations want to do their stuff more privately. To me it's a sign of real sport that all that stuff is a 'story' like deflategate with Tom Brady. Transparency. Take it from the man. It's cool to hear a top competitor saying how he wants good rules and good governance. Strange you don't hear more people just saying that; it is a great indictment of the current situation and doesn't break any of the pros contract rules. 44:50 Gerald Swindle gets real on who succeeds in pro bass fishing, "It is a hustlers game."

1ST off great show. I believe Gman's message regarding the "careful throwing ROCKS in a glass house" was so spot on. The industry is relatively small. Always remember the anglers that paved the road before you. Who knows maybe in the future there is one large dominate league ???? (Note: Chris Zaldain is one of the most approachable & kind anglers you will ever meet in person) . Keep grinding Trait & Chris - your killing it

Their take on the parents giving their kids as much opportunity as possible is right on. I think talent is always going to rise to the top no matter what.
@chadheck8841
@chadheck8841 Жыл бұрын
@@mitchbennett6019 absolutely agree with you, but people seem to look down on the kid that has a parent that is able to provide the best for them, and I don't think that's fair. I don't know of any parent that if they could provide the best for their kids that wouldn't do it. I know that I have been able to provide more for my kids than what my parents were able to provide for me, and my kids should never feel ashamed for getting to maybe start on 2nd base instead of home. I, just like every other parent, worked my hind end off to provide those opportunities. Plus, if they don't have talent or the work ethic they'll never make it anyways.

the real problem is bass fishing is becoming a rich persons sport in order to compete but just going out even it cost alot its becoming really sad
@chadheck8841
@chadheck8841 Жыл бұрын
@@garysims4491 but the price of everything has sky rocketed. Travel baseball, softball, soccer, basketball etc. are outrageously expensive. It just is what it is. And bass fishing is not a rich man's sport. High level of tournament fishing is and everyone makes that choice. It's not really expensive if you just get you an older boat, older electronics, and just fish. That's what matters! Not livescope, 250 horsepower engines, or a new boat every year.

I watched the video with connell, wheeler, MDJ, and Avena. IDK if y'all just seen a short from the video or if your interpretation was wrong, but in there defense they said multiple times they're not bashing the anglers and wheeler admitted twice that he learned his lesson early in his career on Kentucky lake about having respect for anglers on the water during a tournament.

Points made in their video: 1) anglers can tell their sponsors no 2) anglers were fishing during our event Both points addressed by G in the podcast

Wheeler brought up Kentucky Lake - he self admitted that he made the mistake and that’s why it bothered him… So maybe the other 2 were gas lighting but Gman literally made Wheeler’s point for him.

Heck i hated to go to school, but if my dad whispered hey time to go fishing at 3am i was up and ready to go. I was throwing baitcasters when i was 4. Its just something about that next bite. Ive fished some local tourneys and ots fun competing but to me electronics are making it harder for ppl who cant afford 4k units so i guess im old school cuz i watch clouds and banks and find fish and just more enjoyable when you get the 10lbers and 12.5lbers which is my pb. I know its touchy subject but oh well. Just so you know i subbed just for the podcasts , not that i dont like you lol but podcasts are a rare insight into the bass world. And trait and stuff being brutally honest and forward which ppl should do more often.
