This episode was one of my favorites just cuz we get to see the closing of the future trunks storyline. Most important and special to me that always gets me emotional is the last scene when trunks sees gohan and he bids him farewell. In the original anime I believe gohan shouts “be well” that scene always stuck with me. A very emotionally well done seen. Future trunks is one of my favorite characters abs I’m happy he got a good ending. I’m happy your gf got to experience this arc and episode.

Even though Zamasu won the war, not the battle, I feel like his biggest flaw was his arrogance. If he was a cautious god instead of an arrogant one, him and goku black wouldn't have needed to fuse until Goku and Vegeta did themselves and their victory would've been gauranteed either way.

One could argue that it if Black had wished for invincibility as well, then Fused Zamasu wouldn’t have failed, or at least the fusion wouldn’t have become so unstable. You can also argue that Zamasu could’ve won if he’d learned to shut up and stop playing with his food, so to speak. Of course arrogance breeds stupidity, and like any other bad guy, he couldn’t just quit fooling around and get on with it.

@@jakemcnulty The fusion with himself basically combined and multiplied his arrogance. He thought he couldn't be touched. My point is, if they were cautious and weren't underestimating mortals, Zamasu wouldn't casually stand around and watch Trunks do the mafuba. He would've destroyed the jar immediately for not knowing what it is. While fused he would've actively dodged attacks and not stay floating in the sky in one place like an idiot. He would just be more strategic and as a result, make the battle impossible. But I guess I'm expecting too much since the plot requires the villain to have faults or else the story can't move forward.

Its understandably sad because not only Trunk's timeline was deleted from existence, its also the after life, heaven and hell are part of the universe, so all his loved ones didn't get to rest in peace they all got erased from existence. Which is horribly scaring as it is. specially for Trunks who worked so hard to save them and failed at the end. But at least there's a consolation that there are multiverses where Whizz will accommodate them in their new timeline.

Out of all the arcs in Dragon Ball Super, the Future Trunks arc was definitely my favorite. It was dark, suspenseful, action-packed through and through, and the stakes were definitely higher than they were in the Tournament of Power. We even saw Goku and Vegeta face an enemy that ultimately they weren’t unable to defeat because in the end Zamasu became invincible and tried to become one with the universe and had to rely on Zeno to annihilate him. Even if they have to live with doubles of each other, I hope in the new timeline Trunks and Mai can finally both find peace.

I honestly feel the manga did the ending better cause they add Zamasu reaction to Zeno and him running away in terror (in the anime he’s like an evil cloud but in the manga he multiplies into hundred versions of himself). Man so many things to say about this.... I'm going to say something that's super controversial but it's just how feel.... I personally like this ending. Because I was pissed off when trunks pulled that sword out of his ass and gathered very little energy he had from mere pockets of people around the world, it's too random and that shouldn't have been enough to kill him. The episode after that confirmed what I said.... Because the Super Dragon balls made him immortal it not only corrects that but it also gives us a sad ending. Because no matter how much Dragon Ball super wants to disguise this.... Zamasu won. So they had to wipe the slate clean destroying everything Future Trunk fought for, now he has to live in a future parallel to his surrounded by dead people he tried protect and failed to do so. Because he's in a parallel timeline to his doesn't mean the events prior did not happen because he and mai are now "living representations" of the events prior. You think it's all undone? Tell that to future Trinks. He's going to live with PTSD for the rest of life. And that's what I love because people often say Dragon Ball has no stakes, but now you see how important the dragon balls are, otherwise these impossible odds would have wiped everyone out a long time ago. And even if a main threat comes, they have to defeat the threat, otherwise wishing people back would mean nothing. And before anyone asks.... *"Why doesn't Goku just use the Zeno button from now on?"* .... Yeah, and risk nuking the entire MULTIVERSE as a result! As dumb as Goku is sometimes, I think even he realizes that at this point. I hope Baris skips these little filler segments because while people like them, I was just never a fan as much as others are. DBZ always had better filler than Super. But that's just me.

The reason why they tried to play it off was because this war was only a loss for Future Trunks. He was the one who lost his timeline. Goku & Vegeta on the other hand still have their timeline. The future timeline was doomed but the present timeline was saved. Future Trunks had to go start a new life in a new timeline. On the other hand, Goku & Vegeta's old lives go on as usual. They still have their old timeline full of luxury. All of the Z fighters are alive, it has both the Super Dragon Balls & the earth Dragon Balls.

The only thing that made no sense was the "future zeno". Zeno should be omnipotent and omnipresent, meaning there should only be one of him across the omniverse, unless they are suggesting he is just "ruler of the multiverse" and not the creator himself. That would make sense for him to be a child and act all, well, unknowing lol. So, there is someone who is more powerful than Zeno, who should be the creator of the Dragonballverse (Akira in a anime look probably lol)

Trunks will always be the best character. This arc is definitely my favorite. 10/10. Goku Black/Zamasu was the best villain in Super. He unlike the other villains up until now was the only one to achieve his goals. No villain in the entirety of the series accomplished what he set out to do.

There is two questionable things. This one might be fine but did Trunks really have enough energy for the spirit bomb? The other is can a erased universe be traveled back in time in? They are a God and an angel. Other then that I think the ending is alright. I loved Zamasu coming back as a either, that is new to Dragonball. Let's face it since the guy is immortal. The only being that can eliminate the threat completely is Zano. Sometimes you can try your hardest and fail. Trunks should have no regrets. He tried so hard, some things are out of your control. He did manage to save Mia one or more times.

Also it seems that an erased universe can be travelled to still as long as you know where to go, Zeno was just chilling in the aftermath. Maybe a new universe can be created in a destroyed ones place as part of the creation process.

Future trunks's story is really tragic....he lost most of his family and friends to androids.... fought for his life to save what was remaining, then lost that too and his whole timeline because some insecure god has issues sharing the universe with other people...the timeline he went back to in the end wasn't his, he had to share it with another version of himself which isn't easy

After this episode aired, there were debates on which Dragon Ball villain was the most evil between Zamasu & Frieza. I answered Zamasu because As cruel, cold & sadistic Frieza was, he ultimately got defeated. In Z by Future Trunks & by Goku in Super. Plus Frieza knew he was evil. Zamasu on the other hand believed he was destroying all life in the multiverse in the name of "justice" and he ultimately succeeded. He just didn't have enough time to enjoy his victory once Goku summoned Zeno.

Many people say that Future Trunks lost the war completely lost everything to Zamasu, but i personally think Future Trunks won against Zamasu and here's why i say this: Zamasu was constantly saying that he was going to "create a better future" for the future timeline, but in the end, he ultimately got erased by Zeno. So now Zamasu is gone forever. He will never have a chance to create that peaceful world he strived to create. Future Trunks on the other hand survived. All his life, he strove to create a peaceful world free from wars & destruction, and he did. The moment he went to the present to warn Goku & the Z fighters about the Androids & give Goku the medicine to cure the heart virus, he successfully got the Z fighters to train hard for the Androids & Cell & thanks to Gohan, the present was saved & the rest of the Z fighters got stronger. Then the Z fighters kept on growing & growing stronger as they were to face adversaries like Majin Buu, Beerus & Golden Frieza. Goku had a second son Goten, Gohan got married, The Trunks in the present got to grow up with his father Vegeta & Krillin actually got married to one of the Androids thought to be an unredeemable killing monster that would destroy earth.

I'm okay with the ending. i experienced something multiversial threat like psychopath zamasu. The infinite zamasu concept was scary and new for me. but they could work with that animation more better to look more scary

This is the only time the z fighters truly failed. A whole timeline destroyed. Everything Mai and trunks knew. It’s like, yea, they can come back to our timeline… but still.

There was a theory about this future trunks and mai returns to a timeline where they already coexist... So the theory is...Beerus and whis helped them to return to a time where all these goku black saga hasn't started..this is a lie.. Basically what beerus and whis did was ..beerus destroyed trunks and mai to maintain balance in other timeline..as they were the only survivors of their timeline and then beerus and whis move to other branches of timeline with the help of time ring to warn beerus of those timeline to obliterate zamasu or maybe prevent goku to meet zamasu(because destruction of zamasu of those timeline will creat another branch of time).. By this action of whis..trunks timeline is totally destroyed with trunks and mai...zeno of that timeline joined our timeline ..and this is how there maybe multiple branches of timeline but connection of those timelines are broken and became speared timeline..
