@Thebluelandy Жыл бұрын
Hi Dave! We were really happy to be able to experience that level of wildlife 🤩 but even in Zambia there are places where wildlife has been driven out, yes. In some cases even the parks suffer, like we saw in Kafue (next video ) 😟

Really enjoying your videos. Can I suggest, rather than shipping directly to South America and missing out on the Asia-Pacific, you consider shipping to India to explore and then on to Indonesia or Malaysia, also explore Thailand and Singapore and then ship to Australia and maybe even NZ. Lots to experience in that route.

We loved Zambia a lot! From the landscape, the people, the food, we thought it has a really good mix, between the rural Africa and some comforts from South African countries. It was the right decision to avoid parks in Tanzania and Kenya, as our budget would have screamed. If we come back to Africa , Zambia would be in our plans as well as Namibia ❤️

You guys should have really done some 4x4 driving course beforehand. These obstacles are really medium difficulty, and one can easily spot your mistakes and unnecessary fear. Nice trip by the way.

Hey, things in video always look easier than in real life. A steep slope will never look as steep on camera then it is in real live. I believe we got quite some off-road training over the last 10 years traveling with a defender. A South African car got stuck the day before in the same place and had to be pulled out by a truck. And we went only in, to scout how bad it is and if we can make it with the first time off-road drivers in the Prado.

I recently came across your channel and I have been looking forward to new episodes. I should have shown you around Kenya, you passed by my hometown. Hello Rodgers, thank you! We’d have loved to get the insights of someone local from Kenya. We have quite a bit of delay in our videos, but I just spoke to the Father from the parish in Uganda. He told me the car was sold in the meantime!

Had problems from a particularly aggressive hippo on this river who made a practice of running under water then bursting up beside the boat.The local guides decided to plug him using a .458 for the safety of future tourists. Remember to put time aside when in Colombia, to visit the former hacienda of a now defunct drug kingpin....He at one time decided to establish a kind of zoo....and stocked the local river with....Hippopotamus-es....they have since thrived and the locals like them,so they have not been exterminated.....obviously they have a lot to learn abouts hippos!!.

Upps....thats generally German....of Oops of Engrish.....or "botheration" which is a somewhat archaic form of fuck-it! as the plebeian English made inroads into common English usage....today English is in name only in various cities....a change to a type of Creole is taking place thanks to the immigration policies of a certain influential ethnic group.

I think it's irresponsible to go against advice given by Rangers and getting stuck in the National Park. There are animals in Luangwa that can cause serious harm and you are destroying the roads. Also, if you need recovery you will inconvenience a lot of people.
@Thebluelandy8 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Just for clarification, the ranger didn't say it was not allowed at any moment, he recommended to don't go as it might be too wet. They normally tell you that so they don't have to come to help you out, because they are not maintaining the paths enough. We took care of our surroundings. Of course only go if you know you can get out by your own means, which we did. We enjoyed our time immensely in this park, I hope you also enjoyed the footage 🙌

How irresponsible. You were told not to go off the main roads, but you chose to ignore the official advice. This is not a tame zoo. This is wild Africa. When tourists like you break the rules and get themselves killed, it is usually because of exactly this kind of attitude. It makes me furious. Often they are killed by wild animals and then that animal in turn gets shot.
@Thebluelandy Жыл бұрын
Hello Debbie, thank you for your comment. Just for clarification, the ranger didn't say it was not allowed at any moment, he recommended to don't go as it might be too wet. They normally tell you that so they don't have to come to help you out, because they are not maintaining the paths enough. We would not drive those paths if we knew we would not be able to get out by ourselves. The path was actually used by other cars, as you can see from the tracks left. While we were taking the car out of the mud, we took care of our surroundings at all times. I understand your concern, and appreciate you taking the time to write about it here. 🤗

Great adventure. When you got bogged, didn’t you want to get your recovery tracks/boards dirty? 🙈😱😂 Sad news from 17/5: “Toddler dead, 23 others missing as hippo capsizes boat in Malawi”🦛🙏
@Thebluelandy Жыл бұрын
Hey Grahame, Yes, We could have used the sand boards but yeah that would have meant cleaning them afterwards and driving over them until they are straight again and don’t rattle when they are attached to the car. Therefore it was easier to use the Prado. That’s sad news, it’s difficult to find the fine line between adventure and stupidity. We want to explore natural as close and unspoiled as possible. This means sometimes you’re exposed to a certain thread. You always have to weight that up.
