This is one of the many reasons why I love Sinnoh. I never cared that they were slow. To me, that just meant the music would last longer, I would get to explore a much more diverse region than before, and especially the fact that I got to enjoy what was literally the first game I could call my own, every game before that belonging to my older sister or being a family game. Platinum is an absolute treasure to me and no matter how many problems I knew there were in the game, I always enjoy it far more than any of my other games. If they remake Sinnoh, I genuinely hope they buck the old trend and base the remakes mostly on the Platinum game(platinum Pokédex, Diamond and Pearl Version exclusives, platinum story).

Cyrhia was a nightmare. Only Champion to ever have a legit competitive team. When she pulled out that Serene Grace, ParaFlinch, Togakiss I was like “YO WHAT THE FUCK!?” Then she had a Scarfed Chomp, a Sword Dance, Adaptability, Lucario with priority STAB I rolled my eyes and just said “here we go.....”

wesley hartzell I was playing the pearl version and I was such a newb at the time, so I didn’t know anything about leveling up, training, IV’s EV’s, all of that stuff. To this day, I’m so thankful to the Tentacruel at level 38 at the time that survived and landed the final blow on Cynthia’s final Pokémon.

nastyAnky I didn’t get into competitive play unit 5th gen but my star for that battle definitely my Torterra. He EQed the Lucario and Wood Hammer Gastrodon and Milotic. If I didn’t have him I would not have had anything for that Gastrodon. It would have just stalled me out. But that ParaFlinch Tokakiss was a headache. To this day it’s my most hated mon.

Sinnoh just has this... unique feeling. Whether you played it back when it was released or you just played it recently (like me), it still gives off that same feeling. Unova is for me the best region but honestly Sinnoh is quite an awesome region. Its landscapes, places, people, Pokemons... there is just this feeling but I can't put my finger on it. Hoping that the remakes would give off that same feeling.

I really like how the song starts off with a more somber tone with your character realizing that the end of their journey is coming near but then you get flashbacks, to all the achievements and moments you made with it pumping into a higher tone after as you realize how much you did with exhilaration. It then ends on a calmer but not somber tone as you take a breath and enter your house.

I played the pearl version. And I was at playing the game at my friend’s house and I was struggling to beat the Pokémon league. I kept soft resetting if it went bad and after around a total of 100 attempts, when almost all of my Pokémon were unable to fight, my Tentacruel at level 38 or somewhere around that survived spiritomb’s attack and landed the final blow of “Surf”, taking down Cynthia’s last Pokémon, that just made my eyes just wide open and yell in victory! This was the best moment I had playing a Pokémon game! And I was never happier to get the end credits, which made me emotional because of the fact that it took me almost 4 years to beat this game (lost interest and came back to it sometime, was very difficult, etc.) and how the music sounded like it was truly the end of your journey I still remember that moment to this day even it has been 9 years ever since I beat the game.

Pearl was my first Pokémon Game. You know, guys... this soundtrack means a lot to me. I Remember that I beat the League a lot of times, before going to sleep, just to hear this song again and again. I've always been more sensitive during the night and the evening... so, I always ended up crying over this beautiful credit music. Some days ago, I was about to fall asleep... when suddently, this song started playing in my mind. I had to pick up my phone and search for the D/P/PT credit music; "I'm not a Child anymore, I won't cry over it again" I thought (Idk why, but everytime I cry before going to sleep, I always have bad dreams/nightmares, so crying before falling asleep it's not exactly the best thing to do for me xD). Well, guess what? I cried again, just like eleven years ago.

It's taken me over a decade of off and on work to just beat the champion in the Sinnoh games, but I have just done it for the first time. Hearing this song for the first time after a decade of work is most definitely something, these games are something real special to me. No game in the series, heck no other game ever has been able to bring me as much enjoyment as the Sinnoh games have. They were my first pokemon games, and probably 1 of the first 5 games I've ever played and to grow up with something like this is great! Thank You, Diamond Pearl Platinum for introducing me to the series, and for bringing me some of the most fun I've ever had.
