To be fair, Zinnia doesn’t have the best moral compass either. Her plans were wack. 1. Join Team Magma/Aqua. Help them awaken Groudon/Kyogre. Just *assume* Rayquaza is gonna come down from the sky to stop them, and use that chance to warn it about the meteor hurtling towards earth. (Didn’t work, Groudon/Kyogre nearly destroyed Hoenn, Rayquaza never showed up, and if some talented kid hadn’t been there to save the day, everyone would’ve been toast.) 2. Rely on said kid to help with your next plan. Be as vague as possible about everything until the last minute. Rob and beat up as many people around the region of their Key Stones without offering any explanation. Just *assume* Rayquaza is going to show up at Sky Pillar once you’ve gathered enough. (Didn’t work, Rayquaza never showed, and if that kid you brought along didn’t happen to have Rayquaza’s favorite snack on them, the world would’ve been over.) Even the backstory Zinnia vents to you at the top of Sky Pillar is pretty vague. Whoever Aster is, her role as a Lorekeeper for the Draconids, her emotional turmoil, it’s all too little to really explain or justify her brash actions. The manga goes into more detail, but that’s an entirely alternate take on the story, and it also punishes Zinnia for her actions by having Rayquaza impale her. She survives, but she’s basically out of the picture after the story ends-a much bleaker end for her compared to her staying unpunished and going soul-searching by herself at the end of ORAS. I understand Zinnia is meant to comes off as secretly hurt and jnsecure, hiding her grief over Aster’s death with a brash, overconfident front-and that she’s clearly just winging it, doing her best with the knowledge and training she was given to *hopefully* live up to her job as Lorekeeper and save everyone. But she also comes off so unapologetic for her actions and rarely acknowledges when she’s wrong. She nearly endanger and ended the lives of the entire Hoenn region twice now just because she was *sure* her plans would work, and acted disrespectful toward anyone that had an alternative she didn’t agree with. Maxie and Archie thought they had good intentions bringing out Groudon and Kyogre, but at least when they realized they were wrong, they were remorseful for it and changed for the better. Zinnia didn’t really care that her first plan didn’t work out, got heartbroken when her second plan failed, and decided to go off Scot-free to explore the world all alone to let go of her duties entirely now that her job was done.

@@Oceane1803 Yeah, you’re right, but it kinda rubbed me the wrong way how passive she was that she helped nearly ended the world, and only got out of it thanks to some kid that happened to be strong enough to stop it. It’s why she instantly latches onto you in the Delta Episode and acts chummy with you, but doesn’t really spill a word on what she’s on about and why she’s on a stealing spree until the very end, so you’re just left going along with her antics and hoping she knows what she’s doing. (She didn’t.)
