I would call this an advanced variation of 2-3 Jet Abby. Abbey tells the RB to check the A Gap first, then check wide, though traditionally in real life there isn’t a safety between both A Gap muggers for this protection, it’s the same concept.

Hey thanks for the tip. Been struggling to block this, but you explained not only how, but why it works as well. Any clue how to block the send 6 version? Guy I played was just hovering over the center...I tried blocking 7 and using your tip, but then the edge rusher would come in free. If I ID'ed the edge rusher, the A gap would scream.

This can work but sometimes the RB will dumb out to the middle where the user was for the 6 man so it's better then nothing. Also motion after protection can mess it up too

Got a question. If you put a LG as a RG does it penalize you? For instance, I replaced Larry Little with Larry Allen because Allen's stats are much better.. But when I put him as a RG it brings his rating down to a 82. Thanks.
