I was happy to see a comment saying this! everyone was saying how he was rude in this episode but coming off of nicotine is NOT easy and can make you more irritable. They are all supportive of his decision and probably understand what he’s going through at the moment
@willow19972 жыл бұрын
It’s kinda sad but the thing that finally put me off vaping wasn’t the health risks ect but the money. If you’ve been buying £6-£10 puff bars every few days for a couple years like I was, that is HUNDREDs of £ spent on VAPING. Money I’ll never get back, I have nothing to show for it AND it was hurting my body and mind. I seriously urge anyone who’s struggling to quit to just think about the ways you could be spending that money instead of on flavoured nicotine vapour.

I’m not the type of person to usually leave a comment on youtube but matt talking about quitting vaping was the most wholesome conversation I needed to hear. I have been trying to quit for a few days now and he is exactly right about the things your brain will try and compromise with you. Currently having thoughts of “well I won’t do it during the day, just a little bit at night” now i’m really inspired to be at the day mark he is at now. Thank you matt for being so honest and up front about your struggles with it. It gets awkward around my family and friends as well and I legit do that same thing where i’ll go and hit my vape in the bathroom while out with people who don’t vape. I can’t wait to kick it for good, thanks again for the real talk matt❤️

I love looking forward to each week watching the podcast and listen to you guys and hanging out with you guys and it would be amazing if we could ask you some questions, whether their personal or business related. matt. watching you go through this and admitting an addiction and making change is very inspiring. i quit nicotine for my 2021/2022 resolution and i basically just switched to smoking thc pen like every day. has become an issue because it makes me so sleepy and unproductive and my brain so slow. i realized the addiction a while ago and have been wanting change but it literally consumes me and the people i live with don’t care to quit. i make guilty sacrifices for the *hit* and i don’t like the thought of being high around family members. it’s the addiction 🫠 anyway, matt you are inspiring me to be stronger than the addiction and be done

Matt, I used to be a chain smoker, did that for yearsss. Then when I decided to become a nature guide, I found that I couldn’t even breathe while hiking. To quit, I started using nicotine gum but it was a struggle because it wasn’t enough. Lollipops helped. I still felt like something was missing and discovered that anything that “burns” or is spicy helped a lot. Strong mints, spicy Mexican lollipops, spicy Mexican snacks…made a huge difference. Eventually, I stopped craving cigs which was insane. Then I started hating cigs and the smell, feeling of it. Now I can’t handle being around smoke at all. Will never go back. You can actually stop craving it. Never thought I would. You’ll get through this. You’ll feel fantastic after you do.

Such a fun episode! I wanted to chime in when you guys were talking about realtors. I've been a realtor for 2 years now and it's more difficult than most people think. There are fun aspects, but you really have to be self motivated to find work and make it happen. Also, what Matt says about not having weekends is spot on! Most people are shopping on weekends and when they have free time (after work, after 5pm) so that's when I get the most calls. Sometimes you can go weeks without anything going on and wonder if you even have a job and other weeks it feels like you have 3 jobs with everything you're doing 😅 Also, I've walked into some creepy homes so that's something you always need to be prepared for! The CA license test isnt easy but you can pass the first try if you study. Like anything it takes time and effort to get your license. CA takes the test very seriously so you won't be able to cheat. They check your clothing, mask, arms, etc to make sure you dont write answers anywhere and then have security walk around the room when the test is being taken. I think with your followers, it would be a great business for you guys to get into though! You clearly know how to market yourself with your podcasts, youtube videos... so why not real estate! Thanks for all the laughs, I really enjoy the pod! 😊

In my cigarette quitting experience and many others as I’ve heard; once you go so long without smoking one and being around them a lot, the smell/taste and thought of smoking a cigarette starts to be more repulsing. As far as smoking overall (Cigs and vapes), a major barrier to quitting is also the physical addiction to the act of smoking. I struggle with quitting vaping too. But don’t be scared to share the ups AND downs of your quitting experience bc it helps a lot of ppl Zane 💕

hi Pharmacology student here: when Matt was talking about Dopamine i wanted to help clarify things... Nicotine is a form of a stimulant just like coffee, when you intake a stimulant such as nicotine it releases NE and 5HT ( Norepinephrine and Serotonin).. which helps give you that satisfied feeling. Serotonin is your happy neurotransmitter released in the brain which is also found in many things we enjoy such as spending time with loved ones the things that bring you happiness. Dopamine you can think of it being more the "depressor" it is useful when we need to go to sleep it helps calm the body down while were at rest.... Matt was on track with discussing if you have too much of one of these neurotransmitters it can cause problems. Anxiety and Mania is caused by having too much of the Excitability neurotransmitters NE and 5HT... Depression occurs when you have too much DA (Dopamine) release in the brain.... if you have a balance between your Excitatory and Inhibitory NT's youre Golden... if one of them is higher than the other thats when you can develop mental health disorders such as Bipolar,Depression, Anxiety... and so on.

so proud of you Matt!! I am also trying to quit, and one thing that’s helping me phase out is getting a CBD disposable, or cart to help with the oral fixation. You got this!!

I love this pod cause there is no negativity or too nasty of topics.. our generation is filled with vulgarity and loose morality.. y’all keep it cool

As a real estate agent, thank you Matt for putting some respect on our name!!!! I work 12-16 hour days and I promise you showing homes isn’t even half of what I actually do. It’s nothing fun 🥲 Also, I’m a regular market in a small city. I paid like a couple thou on classes/start off. Then my yearly is like $5k just on fees for the board. Now all that doesn’t include the thousands you spend out of pocket on marketing (that might not work), gas, office supplies, etc.

Omg the realtor story got me sooo good!! Yesterday I realized my windshield had a chip. I was literally telling my friend about it when we came home and when we opened the door there was broken glass everywhere from a jar that had fallen off of the counter. Like the glass somehow shattered so intensely that it was in the next room as well… well an hour later my friend was doing the dishes and two bowls fell and broke that she’s had for over a decade. It was so bizarre that we lit sage lol spooky season is here! Love the pod!
