I have been to Bacolod multiple times, and getting a tricycle to the Capitol Lagoon is no challenge. I also stayed in Cityscapes for a month (about $350) in March 2022. On my visits to the Philippines, I have been very impressed with the overall kindness of the Filipino people. Masskara is incredible, but yes, you have to book way in advance as it is a huge event. Might want to ask a native how to pronounce 'Bacolod'.

I never knew there were no Shakey's in the east coast. That Shakey's in Bacolod has been there since the 70s. My parents used to take us there on occasion (it was a different location back then).

The Provincial park and lagoon is a neo classic building design by Burnham architect, by the way, that bus is a service for sugar mill workers to pick up in another park(Bacolod plaza), there more to meet your eyes, landmark , museum, theme park(splash park) and foooods, it’s a 15 min city, outside the city is an interesting mosaic of history if interested, Silay, Talisay, Bago cities are around the metropolitan Bacolod area

I think your next destination is Dumaguete City then Squijor island. If when you are in Dumaguete City, go to Apo island for a day and swim with the turtle. Wednesday is best and just ask some locals on where to find a boat ride. Or best do some scuba diving. I might see you there as am arriving Nov 22 for a 4 months vacation.

Nope, the owner didn't serve your food because the owner of Mushu is Chef JP Anglo. He is a famous chef in the Philippines. That restaurant is one of the gems of Bacolod. And that first farmers bus is old. I'm 35 and I saw that bus since I was 7 years old lol

Next time you visit Bacolod again sir .. Try to visit The Upper east megaworld, the art District, bay walk. NGC, san Sebastian catheral. Bacolod public plaza.. ❤And also the Famous food in bacolod are Manokan country Best chicken inasal in the Philippines. Cansi in sharyn, and also the delicacies in bacolod.. Calea. Merzi, bongbongs, quan delicacies and more.. 😊

Welcome to Bacolod! Montenegro was the ferry you took. Am still watching the video so I do not know if you took the time to eat a chicken inasal (grilled chicken) which Bacolod is known for. You could have reached the Masskara Museum on the other side of the provincial lagoon if you researched it. The lagoon is the start of all the roadways throughout the province. The direction of Mushu would have gone north.

You should took a grab ride it will just take 80 to 90 pesos from pier to Cityscape, you should take Khokoon Inn in Brgy Singcang. its only 1,000 pesos a night room is hotel like and had internet speed of 10 to 40 mbps, You should try Lion's Park in manokan country, try there "isol" or "Bul-o" its so Delicious for the price its worth it. Im from Bacolod so i know where good foods are.

Is that a live singer at the end of this video? Bacolod is known for chicken inasal. That is a particular way of marinating the chicken. The Mang Inasal chicken restaurant that can be seen all over the Philippines originated in Bacolod. You should try chicken inasal the next time you go back to Bacolod.

Yup Shakey’s Pizza originated in Sacramento, California. According to google there are 48 locations in 🇺🇸. Two in Washington States and the rest in California. There are about 347 Shakey’s Pizza in the 🇵🇭.

Chicken inasal is not a Bacolod original. It's a generic Ilonggo dish. What's original to Bacolod is the "Bacolod Chicken Inasal", in the same manner as Mang Inasal is an Iloilo original.

OMG that first trike driver you approached, the old guy with the moustache, avoid him, he's not friendly at all. I rode with him 10 minutes to my hotel and paid him above rates (I've been coming to PH for 20 years so I know) and he complained and asked for a very large fee. The situation threatened to become ugly so I paid him a little more to make him go away. Thankfully Bacolod people are not all like him.
