Notations: ST. = Standing CR. = Crouching XX = Special Cancel, just do the motion during the current normal , = Link, just the standard way to combo > = String, completely character specific move QCB = Quarter Circle Back (Motion) QCF = Quarter Circle Forward (Motion) DP = Dragon Punch (Motion) PP or PPP = Lariat or EX Lariat SPD = 360/Full Circle (Motion) [CH] or [PC] = Specifies whether the move needs to be counter hit or a punish to work

Can you please explain how to confirm hellstab Into level 2 consistently. I get standing medium a lot!

I just input hellstab during the down+forward of the first quarter circle forward, apparently there's more comfortable shortcuts cuz of input reader but idk/use them so

Some additional punish counter routes : midscreen (mid to close) st hk > small walk > df mp > ex air spd (4100) Corner pc routes : df hk > ex spd (4600) or h spd or lvl 3 (5500 ish) Alternatively for more drive bars and no super bars : f hk > df mp > ex lariat > ex air spd (5360)

I just wanted to add: 1. punish counter routes: neutral jump -> up + hp -> lvl 1 super 2. punish counter routes: cross up jump -> down + hp -> lariat or EX lariat TBH the timing is tight for the 1) so I just do a hp SPD and save the gauge for Lvl 2 or Lvl 3 super. However, 2) is very useful if you're switch positions with your opponent.

The corner Counter Punish DI, I just do HP SPD or ex SPD. HPD SPD does alot of damage already so I just save the bars for ex lariat to keep the corner pressure on.

honestly more optimal to go for oki as opposed to max damage on this character, but making that stipulation also makes the video moot so

Its good however the DI in the corner one is not too brilliant since it uses all drive meter i reccomend hellstab EX lariat EX borscht dynamite. Also usefull as a stun combo forward dash jump back lariat forward so it hits on the last spin into EX borscht dynamite

Also if you manage to if you hit a headbutt you can do drive rush heavy kick and link into a hellstab which can lead to level 2 or lariat

Tips for cancelling into lvl 2 super? The cancel window is pretty tight doing it from crouch medium punch or hellstab. I can't do it consistently. I even see people cancelling into it from lariat bruh i tried doing that and almost broke my thumb

Ima be fr, I kinda just do it out of cr.mp. For hellstab tho I input it during the first qcf motion, so whenever you hit down+forward

There is a shortcut from neutral where you can do it like a uppercut. So if you're coming from neutral position you can do it with 1 qtcf movement. (From neutral) ->df + mp -> qtcf + lp It doing it from neutral, the df will count to the super so you only need to do 1 qtcf afterwards. (DI) d + mp -> (neutral) ->df + mp -> qtcf + lp TBH I only do it that way during Counter Punish + DI confirm or a Jumping hp + hellstab confirm on cross up, if I'm doing it in a DI impact combo I just do the d + mp and buffer a qtr cf every time just in case.

probably because marisa's whole thing was being the tanky juggernaut who can armor her way through everything and letting zangief have on demand armor like that would take away her whole gimmick

Yeah everyone has flowcharts and twitter (X) combo's for days. Gieff has to work for everyone but on the positive note he does have really good normals like a charge character 😎

Can you please explain how to consistently hit hellstab into level 2? I often get either standing medium, or the super doesn’t come out if I hit hellstab.
