100% fact. In fact the average salary in singapore now is 6X higher than Malaysia, esp since Singapore currency is now at its strongest against many weak asian currencies.❤❤

Stop putting them on pedestal. You mean Singaporeans did not contribute to SG? These Malaysians are making SGD for themselves. What a misplaced respect.

Yes, without them we don't have enough workers especially those skilled workers.Thank you so much , Malaysians.🙏❤️
Many Malaysians seek work opportunities in Singapore, but I've also observed a notable increase in immigrants from Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam, Burma, and India working in Johor Bahru. Life is indeed changing.

@shervintan Those who cannot get work permit to work in Singapore have no choice but to work in JB. Do you think that if they can get permit to work in Singapore, will they want to work in JB?

韩国有14万越南非法外劳,位列第一。韩国主要外劳是中国越南泰国,也是非法劳工人数最多的国家。

@@jer2911.LExactly, I also know many japanese & koreans wanted to work in Singapore as is their 1st choice, but since they couldnt get the opportunity to be accepted in Singapore so they could only go to less developed Malaysia. Nobody would want Malaysia as their 1st choice cos they know their avg salary is about 5-6 times lower than singapore!!😂
If the exchange rate of RM to SGD is 3.5X, i would go JB to work too, regardless of springboard or settling there. Everyone is just trapped in the matrix, its all about the money. The commuting part is indeed a challenge, but for the sake of being able to live a better life and make plans for the future, the only way is to have more money. Everyone is forced to take action due to the monetary needs, we don't have a choice. That's how the world works now. Singaporeans have their own issues dealing with the rising cost of living too.

Thanks all Malaysian for the contributions making singapore a better place. You inherit the blood of our forefathers from southern China willing to work hard and make the best of any situation. Simply awesome thank you. I wish things will get better after RTS and hopefully HSR. I do have many Malaysian colleagues who offer their sincere help to me in my work place. Thank you.

Being a Malaysian, you can travel many hours from JB to work and fro from work. Yes it is tough but if you are average person with average capabilites , it is ok to work hard when you are young. Being a Singaporean , where can we go on a daily basis?

TBH, MYs work in SG... Great for two countries. Employment for ppl always a priority agenda for governance. Since ppl will work , best to make it worthwhile.
Malaysian is very lucky, they have a choice to earn 3.5 times salary if they were hardworking but for singaporean, we cannot find a neighbouring country that can earn 3.5 times. For malaysian after working for 20 + years, can go back and retire but for sporean, work 50 years also cannot retire.

@@jt6231For that much money, the question should really be "why not?". Be honest, Malaysians working in Singapore got the best of both countries. Plus, they are not that far from their families.
Really what the purpose of being Singaporean after serving 2 1/2 yrs NS ....n now all the GD jobs go to FOREIGNER....n what I get is low end job jt to survive in my OWN country 😥👎👎😥
When the RTS is up by January 2027, it will even be more convenient for Johoreans to come to SG to work and study. The brain drain can further strain the manpower shortage of JB. Yet, those who choose to stay in JB, they can also continue to have a good life as more Singaporeans as well as foreign tourists would be visiting JB contributing to better pay for Grab drivers, service staff, etc. How to strike the ideal balance is something the Malaysian authorities have to work out to capitalise on this infrastructure development facilitating better people-to-people interactions between both countries. I personally view Malaysia as a paradise on earth.

Paradise as in you got money/family background. Else it's just the same shit hole as other places soon.. Brain drain is for sure, despite got RTS or not, the speed /curve of that highly dependable on economic.. Ringgit buying power makin lemah, brain drain makin cepat.. Despite got RTS or not.. If it has been extremely hard to go for the nearest country to make a living, and barely able to survive locally (in Malaysia), Malaysian would just choose to migrate somewhere far away e.g. AU/NZ/England etc..
Stepping stones or not is okay for Singaporeans...one needs sacrifices for good living and to support family back home ..so coming sg to work as stepping stones or with heart of staying is up to individual perspectives
Everyone is just trying to survive and give the next generation a better life. Curious on how the MY gov will tackle all the capital incoming from SG to MY. It pushes MY consumer prices up affecting poorer communities. The brain drain from MY to SG also affects MY economy badly. The disparity of rich and poor becomes wider every year.
