I must be the only one who prefers Kantonian Zapdos, I just think it looks better. Then again I find the pay to win attitude of gen 8 abhorrent - they managed to fit in a lot more Pokémon as long as you're willing to pay for it. Then they make sure the new Pokémon are overpowered to the point where you can't do well competitively without using new Pokémon and new moves

I dont think the dlc is "pay to win", you can still get the pokemon via trading, your just paying for more content, i dont think you have that much of an advantage dlc or not

the pokemon are a free update, you just need to either trade or transfer them in via home.

I admit that's moving the goalposts a little because I didn't realise most of the Pokémon could be transferred from earlier gens but I stand by it being pay to win because of the new moves. Even then the new legendaries are not available via home and locked behind the dlc

TBH I don't really like Galarian Zapdos I think it looks really weird, I love Kantonian Zapdos to death its my favorite of the Kantonian birds with moltres being my least favorite but the Galarian birds reverse that with Galarian Moltres being my favorite and Galarian Zapdos being my least favorite. I've tried to like it as much as I like Kantonian Zapdos but I can't but it seems to be the Galarian bird that's getting the most love but I am happy that all of them are getting love because all 3 are really cool.

Zapdos. I like the Galar one but it is a glass cannon with all those weaknesses. One of the best aspects of Zapdos is he has a good spread of stats decent offense and he has very few weaknesses. And he's an electric pokemon with no ground weakness. I might be happy to run both in the same team if i could find the right supporting team members though.

I like Kanto Zapdos due to Type with more resistance and less weaknesses good special attack. Galar more weakness less resistance but good Physical attack. For battling steel type Pokémon I would use Kanto Zapdos due to the steel type with high physical defense.

Sword and shield games are a major disgrace to pokemon. We had enough dam Pokemon based on everyday objects , the legendary pokemon are stupid , the legendary at end of sword and shield is crippled after getting caught cuz it cant go back into original form , and redoing legendary birds and adding more regis are extremely stupid. I personally never liked Zapdos's design. It just never made any sense to me, I always felt it looked far too basic compared to the detailed and elegant designs of both Moltres and Articuno. So for me, Galarian Zapdos makes more sense. Original definitely look liked it should have been flightless from the beginning because I struggle to see how those wings would have truly worked. I still questioned that even in the second film back when I was a kid. It just didn't look right, and plus those legs stood out as well. But with the Galar variant, it all comes together! Well, to me anyway.
