I like how in this mission you can hear belkan soldiers say stuff along the lines of "We cant let them take this place. My hometown is near." or something like that. A small hint of how the story would turn out int the end.

I always loved that ace combat zero didnt paint belkans as evil bad guys but rather individuals with their own beliefs and lifestories. I wish they would make an ace combat about belkan war again, this time figthing on the belkan side To the Bitter end

If we can be in Belkan side, I wish the setting will be in WWI style or WWII style. 1903/1935 of Strangereal, of how Belka create the art of Dog Fight from scout plane converted to bombers to a multi role fighter plane and we can be the main player of the Belkan side.

Miochan you play a Belkan pilot descended from a line of knights flying in a war of entangled alliances with no good or bad guys, but only for honor and duty, for his homeland. It can be a change of pace in portrayal of the Belkans, and foreshadowing with Belka’s future looking bright at the end but bringing prideful nationalism with it, relations with their ally Osea good with a lot of interest in economic collaboration and it unthinkable to the honorable Belkans that Osean businessmen might screw them over, as your character getting set up training future generations of Belkan aces.

I can think of an ominous (but yet triumphant) music playing as the allied pilots venture deeper into the dark, frozen valleys. It's almost something that cames out from a film. Raw cinematic power!

I always personally find this mission rather fun to play with aircraft with GPBs. On a personal not this makes you wonder how the mission would look more realistic. Tracers raining into the sky, flak exploding just above the pilot's canopy, missiles firing in all directions and bad weather making it hard to fly low and close to the mountains. Belka was really going all out in defending this region at all costs that even the castles were repurposed into fortresses to handle the airstrikes.

It's from the Arthurian legends (like many things in ac zero). Glatisant is a mythical beast that Parsifal needs to kill if I remember well. It's from the old French word "Glapir" wich means "to bark"

This is the kind of mission we should've had for A2G missions in Ace Combat Joint Assault. All the ground attack missions are horrible in ACJA. They either have long range attacks, essential air targets, or varcolac bosses.

I actually liked it. It made the purpose of ace combat challenging for a reason. In my opinion, this would likely be the most realistic mission in the series with tracers flying overhead, warning the player about the amount of firepower the Belkans carry in the ruins of the castle. It just made this mission so fun. You can actually have a easier time if you have a fighter equipped with GPBs.

game balance is a bit broken, in mission 9 you can get Su-37 which has 82 missiles XLAA and FAEB!

Anyone lazy enough could just put a rock song on top of this level and actually not bother with making the level feel atmospheric and nice, but nope, Kobayashi and the others didn't do this kind of shit, instead they wanted the player to feel interest in the map and the map itself to have more personality. That's what I like the most about the japanese games, they aren't just shooting and hit and run games, they're made for people trying to reach out for something different, an experience maybe? And that experience surely needs an awesome soundtrack! One could picture Hans Zimmer making a similar soundtrack for a cold war film with military aircrafts on the stage, even more if he was doing so for a japanese anime or film. I see some potential flowing in there as you don't so often watch movies with aircrafts portrayed in that way, it's like Top Gun but way better and less american-ish if you get what I'm trying to picture, maybe the equivalent of Gran Turismo but for jets, it feels more authentic. I think this game is there on the top when it comes to atmosphere and use of soundtrack to make a map / level feels like a moving painting, after all raw cinematic + soundtrack power that is! I don't want to be mean to anyone but I don't think a game like this one could be made by an american, especially the companies who knows only FPS and competitive games, just saying.
